Day 1 & 2 – USA to Amman, Jordan Your spiritual pilgrimage begins as you depart on your internationalflight. You will be welcomed to Amman, Jordan by our representativeand transferred to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – Petra Travel south from Amman for a visit to the city of Petra. Its entrancepasses through a long, narrow gorge known as the Siq and can onlybe accessed by carriage, horseback or on foot. Once inside the city,marvel at the intricate detail of a city that was literally cut into thecliff sides of rose-colored rock. Return to Amman for overnight.

Day 4 – Mount Nebo, Madaba, Qumran & JerichoVisit Mount Nebo, where Moses caught a glimpse of the PromisedLand before he died (Deut. 34). On a clear day, you can see all theway across the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea to the rooftops ofJerusalem and Bethlehem. Continue to Madaba, the City of Mosaics,to visit the Church of Saint George with its vivid sixth-centuryByzantine mosaic map showing Jerusalem and other holy sites.Cross the border into Israel. At Qumran, site of the Dead Sea Scrollsdiscovery, learn about the mysterious community of Essenes whoonce lived on the shores of the Dead Sea. Time permitting,experience the mineral-laden waters of the Dead Sea before headingto Jericho to visit the ruins of the ancient city Joshua conquered(Josh. 6:20). From Jericho, you can see the traditional site of theTemptation of Jesus (Matt. 4:1).

Day 5 – Ein Karem & BethlehemTravel to Ein Karem, where Mary visited with Elizabeth. In Bethlehem,visit the cave where Jesus was born (Matt. 1:18) and see the Churchof the Nativity built over the site. Gaze out over Shepherds Field,where the angels first proclaimed the Good News, and conclude yourday by exploring the Herodion, the palace-fortress of Herod the Great.

Day 6 – Jerusalem Enter the Old City and walk along the Cardo, the ancient main street.The Southern Wall Excavations of the Temple Mount, including theTeaching Steps and the Western Wall, are a must see. View the Poolof Bethesda (John 5:1), where Jesus performed the Sabbath miracle,and sing a hymn in the Church of St. Anne to experience its beautifulacoustics. Visit Herod’s Antonia Fortress, where Jesus was broughtbefore Pontius Pilate (Luke 23:1). Walk the Via Dolorosa, “the Wayof the Cross,” and at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, reflect onChrist’s sacrificial love.

Day 7 – JerusalemStand on the Mount of Olives as Jesus did, and enjoy a remarkableview of the “Golden City” of Jerusalem, including the Temple Mountand Dome of the Rock. Visit the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesusprayed for God’s will to be done (Matt. 26:30). Visit the Upper Room,revered as the site of the Last Supper (Mark 14:12-26). Visit theHouse of the High Priest Caiaphas (Matt. 26:57), where Jesus wasimprisoned for a night. End your day with communion at the GardenTomb (Matt. 27:33).

Day 8 – Caesarea, Megiddo, Nazareth & CanaVisit the Roman Aqueduct and Theatre at Caesarea, a center of theearly Christians. This is where Cornelius became the first Gentileconvert to the new religion (Acts 10), and where Paul was imprisonedbefore being taken to Rome for trial. Travel the ancient caravan routeto Tel Megiddo, where 20 different cities lie superimposed uponeach other. Journey to Nazareth, Jesus’ boyhood home (Luke 26),and recall Jesus’ first miracle as you ride through Cana (John 2:1).

Day 9 – The Galilee As you sail across the Sea of Galilee, enjoy a special on boardworship service. You’ll arrive in Capernaum, the center of Jesus’ministry, and visit the synagogue where Jesus taught (Matt. 4:13;Mark 3). Travel to the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus preachedthe Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 5). At Tabgha, you’ll visit the Churchof the Fish and the Loaves (Luke 9:10). Return to Amman for dinnerand overnight.

Day 10 – Return to the USA or enjoy a Cruise on the Nile.

Day 10 Today you will fly across the Sinai Peninsula and the Suez Canal to the city of Cairo, Egypt.Day 11 Admire ancient treasures at the Egyptian Museum. Explore the Coptic Church, the Mohammed Ali Mosque and enjoy a beautiful panorama of the city from the Citadel.Day 12 Fly to Luxor. Board your Nile Cruise boat. Visits to Luxor and Karnak temples.Day 13 Visit the Necropolis of Thebes, Valleys of the Kings and Queens, Temple of Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon. Sail to Esna and cross the locks.
