HEAVENLY TREASURES
PRESCHOOL
Happy October!
This year is off to a great start. The children are so happy to be at school with their new friends. Everyone is over the “missing Mommy” stage. Our stu-dents are happy to play and learn with their teachers.
On October 4th we begin our spe-cialty activities. These specials include Spanish, Creative Movement and my personal favorite, Chapel.
We are looking forward to the Tractor Show and Fall Festival. I am sure that this will be a wonderful year for us to work together and live for the LORD.
We are enrolling children for the 2010-11 school year. If you know any-one that is interested in our Preschool, please feel free to give them my cell phone number, 404-434-1119.
In His Wonderful Name,
Shauna Ephesians 6:10
PASTOR’S NOTE
“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a difficult time.”
Proverbs 17:17
What a blessing friends are in our lives. Friends help us through tough times and are loyal when others are fickle. Jesus told His disciples that they were His friends. It is great to have a Friend who loves us unselfishly and for eternity. What a blessing to have a Friend who died for us.
We will observe the Lord’s Sup-per on Sunday, October 3. We will remember what our Savior did for us to give us eternal life. Those who have given their life to Christ may participate in communion.
We will also have Prove the Tithe Sunday on October 3. God told His people to bring their tithe or a tenth part of their income to His house, and He would bless them immeasurably. He promised to meet their needs. Let us show our love for God by giving our tithes and offerings.
Trunk-o-Treats will be Wednes-day evening, October 27, from 6:30-7:30. Fill your trunk full of candy, invite some friends and come and enjoy an evening of fun and friendship.
Friend Day is Sunday, October 31. Invite a friend (preferably one who is un-churched) to come with you to Sunday School and wor-ship. We will have Sunday School in the worship center and lunch in the fellowship hall. Our dress will be casual and the message will be brief: “The (Second) Scariest Ghost Story in the Bible.” Invita-tion cards will be made for you to give out to those you wish to invite.
I am grateful for the Zion Hill fam-ily, and even more so for those of you who are so faithful to serve and give. Let us continue to be faithful and obedient. By the way, I love being your pastor!
Danny
