FROM THE PRESIDENT’S DESK

As I start this news letter, I want to thank all of the out going chamber board members for the job they Have done.

Thank you all ! And welcome to the new members who have stepped up to serve as board members. I have some big

shoes to fill, as Bob did an outstanding job as president !

With that being said……. Let’s go! A new year is here and so are our opportunities. As the recession wanes, we should

all look forward to the expanding economy. To make our chamber and local businesses all succeed, I urge all of you

to explore what you and your business can do to participate in your chamber. If you own or are in the management

portion of your business, consider appointing someone from your staff to actively work with the chamber on your

behalf. Remember the more hands, the lighter the load for all. And the more we can accomplish. There is a list of the

standing committees, see where your expertise can help.

Our biggest fund raiser of the year is nearly here. March 8th At the Altona .If you have not bought a ticket, please do

it now.

We will be continuing the shop local campaign, look to the promotions committee for ways to build more local sales.

Remember each sale that stays in our community helps many others locally.

If your business has a web site and you are not linked to our chamber’s web site, call Pam Van Dera she has done a

bang up job putting the site together. If you have questions, Mary Christel our executive secretary can help you too.

She regularly gets questions to the right person for answers.

Heres to a great & prosperous year.

RE: BUSINESS KEYHOLDER INFORMATION

The New Holstein Police Department is in the process of updating our business keyholder information for the busi-nesses located within the city. It is very important that the department has this information on file. This informationis considered confidential and will not be shared. The purpose for this information is in case an officer or the depart-ment needs to contact someone from your business in the event they find open door or other security issue relating toyour business after normal business hours.

Capt. Hebl has contacted several businesses already. If he has not contacted you yet the keyholder form is attached. Please complete and return this form to NHPD as soon as possible. It is also highly recommended that if for somereason after this form is completed and changes are made as to your callout keyholder information that you contactthe police department with this information as well.

Your assistance regarding this matter is greatly appreciated!

If your business is not within the city of New Holstein, I ask that you contact your local law enforcement agency andprovide them with some contact information for your business. This is for your protection.
