How to Submit Conference PapersOriginal work on relevant topics will be considered by the CICReview Committee when submitted in the form of a 4-6 page draftpaper by March 1, 2017.

Papers should represent unpublished work, provide a clearindication of originality, contain at least preliminary results, andinclude references to prior work. Electronic submissions arepreferred. If you cannot submit your paper electronically, contactpapers@imaging.org.

A double-blind review process is used to select papers based oncriteria including technical soundness and novelty. Final deci-sions on acceptance and presentation format (oral or interactivepaper) are at the discretion of the Technical Program Committee.Notices of acceptance will be sent out in mid April. Upon accept-ance, instructions are provided for the preparation of the fullpaper, which is published in the conference proceedings.

How to submit a Journal (JIST-first) PaperJournal papers differ from conference papers in that they meet thestandards of the Journal of Imaging Science and Technology (JIST)in terms of scope, originality, relevance of topic, completeness ofbackground and references to prior work, completeness of resultsand discussion, and quality of language. Refer to JIST AuthorGuidelines and Information viawww.imaging.org/color.

Complete JIST CIC25 2017papers are due, submitted direct-ly to JIST, by March 1, 2017 andare fast-tracked for review.Accepted papers are publishedin JIST, appear in the CIC pro-ceedings as reprints, and arepresented at CIC within the tech-nical papers program. Decisionsand requests for revision, ifrequired, will be sent to authorsby the end of April. Revisions of

provisionally accepted papers are due within 10 days followingthe decision letter. Upon acceptance of papers, first authors willregister for CIC, and will be asked to pay JIST page fees reducedby 50%.
