The advanced high-definition, single-lens, all-sky digital planetarium projection system that combines Konica Minolta's famouse optical technology with a stunning color-rich, high-contrast 4K projector!

Konica Minolta Digital Dome Technology taken to a new level. This digital dome theater technology immerses audiences in high-

Combination of high-definition, high-contrast projector and quality fish-eye lens creates super-realistic dome imagery.

Low-contrast image. Background black is washed out. Using optical iris will darken the entire image while multi-projection method will produce seams between images.

SUPER MEDIAGLOBE-II: Native 10,000:1 contrast image. Black is realistically represented, which is perfect for projecting space images that require jet-black backgrounds. Single-lens projection method always produces a seamless full dome image.

Comparison of reproduction of images

In addition to the conventional planetarium functions, new mouse-driven controls provide realistic representation of natural sky phenomenaIn addition to the simulations of stars, constellations and planets, SUPER MEDIAGLOBE-II projects natural sky phenomena including lightning, clouds, rain, snow and aurora that can be superimposed on the background sky or an all-sky image or movie. This remarkable ability creates more natural and realistic immersive scenes that thrill audiences.

With simple point and click operations you can easily project overlays, lines, coordinates for 88 constellations, as well as images of more than 100 celestial objects.

You can scale up the image of an eclipse or any solar system object using the enlarged window function.

The newly developed fish-eye lens designed especially for dome projection features Konica Minolta's famous optical technology. This advanced lens clearly resolves more than 4.5 million individual pixels, reproducing a sharp and dramatic starfield.

SUPER MEDIAGLOBE-II uses a 4K professional-grade projector (4096 x 2400 pixels) with four times more pixels than the best HDTV image and a native contrast of 10,000:1. Konica Minolta has developed an unique fish-eye lens for the system using their famous optical technology. It projects sharp, seamless, non-distorted high-definition images over the entire dome. With the high-contrast real black color, SUPER MEDIAGLOBE-II creates realistic simulations of the universe and faithful reproduction of CG movies and live-action images, inspiring audiences of all ages.

SUPER MEDIAGLOBE-II is the latest top-level model in the MEDIAGLOBE series, the world's first full-color, single-lens digital planetarium installed at mothe known universe. The system's brilliant, razor-sharp fisheye lens testifies to Konica Minolta's cutting-edge optical design and fabrication. The lens is measy to operate. Now the easiest-to-use digital planetarium is also the most powerful…immersing audiences in amazing sights and sounds and blending t

-defi nition images, creating the most realistic visual experience.

Powerful 3D Digital Planetarium function with the latest astronomical data allows operators to explore the planets or fly through the universeBased on the most recent astronomical data including 3D data of more than 100,000 fixed stars from the Hipparcos and Bright Star Calatogue, proper motion of fixed stars can be shown at any time from 1,000,000 BC to 1,000,000 AD. The SUPER MEDIAGLOBE-II faithfully reproduces the vast universe. SUPER MEDIAGLOBE-II utilizes the comprehensive stellar database from the Japan National Observatory's 4D2U project showing the motion of the stars and planets in a way that is easy to understand. Powerful real-time simulations using the latest data and images take audiences through the solar system and beyond, flying through 3D space to the edge of the known universe. Operation is very simple! You select departure object, route object and destination object. Simply click a button and go! Just as easily, you can enjoy realistic flight inside and outside the solar system with a joystick as if taking the wheel of a spaceship.

You can easily operate advanced astronomical simulations with the famous easy-to-use MEDIAGLOBE Graphical User Interface (GUI).

Amazing fulldome high-definition images will dramatically surround and immerse audiences. Using the “Multimedia” function, you can play or display digital sound, movie and still image files. SUPER MEDIAGLOBE-II makes it easy to create a multi-purpose digital dome theater.Konica Minolta’s digital dome imaging technology allows smooth playback of fulldome, high-definition movies (2400 pixels x 2400 pixels), overwhelming and enveloping audiences. Full-color computer-generated and live-action images are shown with the great clarity and realism. With the Multimedia function, you can also use your own digital materials to create original presentations, and make your dome a multi-purpose theater.

●Still image playback (BMP, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, etc.)●Movie playback (MPEG, AVI, MOV, MP4, WMV, etc.)●Sound playback (WAV, MP3, WMA, etc.)

ore than 70 locations around the world. Its 3D digital planetarium functions simulate not just the earth and sky, but can take audiences to the edge of atched with JVC’s high-contrast 4K projector to create an overwhelming experience in high-definition imagery. The user-friendly interface makes it their senses into an inspiring created world. SUPER MEDIAGLOBE-II opens the door to the next revolution in full-dome projection.

The newly-developed GUI and joystick enable user-friendly operation. Beginners will find the system easy to use, yet powerful. Making programs is as easy as recording and editing manual operations...creating an entire show without typing a single line of commands.

No Need for Complicated Operations.Easy-To-Use "point and click" operationWith our famous user-friendly control interface, you can easily create a complex presentation or show.

Intuitive Operation GUI screen

“Show Director” function can record manual operations and play them back as a show.SUPER MEDIAGLOBE-II contains a function to record manual operations. For example, an advanced operation with 3D simulation functions such as flying around the solar system or traveling to the distant universe beyond our Galaxy can be registered as a macro button. You can play it back automatically byvv simply clicking that macro button. If you have several presentations registered as macro buttons, you can quickly call up each macro as a presentation matching the school lesson of the day. Also you do not need to worry about making mistakes while recording your operation because you can later edit the timing of presentation cues, the projection position of image, etc. With the optional off-line show creation system, you can invite students or volunteers to participate in creating shows.

You can make various presentations with easy and simple operations using desk-type console and mouse. Intuitive joystick operation allows you to experience space travel as if flying in a spaceship.

For users who wish more advanced manual operations, Konica Minolta can provide a special analog console with mechanical switches and knobs as an option.

Using a joystick, you can fly through space as if steering a space ship.

A variety of fulldome short movies and library shows are available.SUPER MEDIAGLOBE-II contains a library of 30 short movies. You can use them for educational programs and entertaiment presentations. They can be easily inserted into your own programs. In addition to the 30 short movies Konica MInolta will keep creating and distributing new fulldome visualizations.
