The BONA FIDES Association and the Ukrainian NGO “Center for

Euroinitiatives” (CEI) are looking for volunteers for the EVS project “ZOOM YOUR SUMMER” in Sumy, Ukraine.

The project has already been approved for funding by the Polish National Agency.

Coordinating organization: SAO Bona Fides (Poland) Hosting organization: Center for Euroinitiatives (CEI) (Ukraine) Place: Sumy, Ukraine Project duration: 01.08.2017 – 28.09.2017 (59 days) Available vacancies: 6 people in total:

- 2 volunteers from Poland; - 2 volunteers from Lithuania;

- 2 volunteers from Romania

What is important! When leaving for short-term volunteering (59 days) you can

still leave for EVS again for a further 10 months. So use this unique opportunity to try yourself!

What is “zoom your summer”?

Project “Zoom Your Summer” is focused on cultural and artistic activities

for children and youth in Sumy, Ukraine.

TASKS - to organize various workshops and activities

for children and young people;

- to conduct sport and active games; - to promote the European values and active citizenship, civic

responsibility, community service, - to distribute ides of Europe, friendship between people and peaceful coexistence;

- to lead kids groups;

- to teach leadership skills to youth and provide them with knowledge about EU, European integration;

- to promote cultural diversity and break stereotypes about the volunteer’s countries;

- to explain and operate with the basic concepts of tolerance, mutual respect, sense of responsibility particular in relation to the world, human rights; - to promote of voluntary service among local youth;

Project Description Venue: Activities will take place both at the NGO's office and at different venues in Sumy: camps, schools, partner organizations, youth centers.

Activities: - support and administration of school language camps, tent and stationary camps of Sumy;

- PR-events, support of the organization's webpages and

visibility in social networks;

Profile

- organizing the local project “Humans of Sumy”, initiate sub-project “Kids of Sumy”;

- conducting different activities with youth such workshops, trainings, energizers, ice-breakers;

- organizing and conducting workshops in leadership, active citizenship, hand-crafts, European values, etc.;

- organizing sport activities and free time for youth;

- help maintain the tent camp (set tents, support on the kitchen, help with setting fire, etc.); - involvement in development of the camps program.

Volunteer’s Profile

The CEI is looking for enthusiastic, energetic volunteers, who: - are between 18-30, - are eager to learn,

- enjoy working with youth, - have at least B1 level of English, - are willing to get new skills, - are full of creative ideas which can be realized through personal initiatives,

- are interested in the issues of democracy, equality, diversity, - are interested in health lifestyle and sport, - are ready to share their culture and language, - are interested in developing Ukrainian culture,

In addition: - strong organizational skills are considered very useful, - creative experiences and teaching language skills are welcomed.
