Wouldn’t it be nice if we could jump into the dryer and come out wrinkle-free & three sizes smaller?

Husband: Are you ever going to get that dog to obey you? Wife: Probably not, it’s only a matter of patience, remember I had a lot of trouble with you too at first.

A 100-year-old woman sitting in her rocking chair said, “I’m proud of myself; I’m really

good at multi-tasking. I can cough, sneeze and pee all at the same time.”

Three old guys are out walking. First one says, “Windy, isn't it?” Second one says, “No, it's Thursday!” Third one says, “So am I. Let's go get a beer.”

A little old man shuffled slowly into an ice cream parlor and pulled himself slowly, painfully, up onto a stool… After catching his breath, he ordered a

banana split. The waitress asked kindly, “Crushed nuts?”

“No,” he replied, “Arthritis.”

CADDIE the Golf Course Cat

Once upon a time there was a little calico kitten who showed up at Kathleen Oetken’s farm (Now Todd’s). She told me she had seen a new addition to the barn cats. This little calico, being the inquisitive type, and what cat isn’t, she made her

way across the farm, through the fence and onto the 9th tee box at Prairie Rose Golf Course. She followed a group of guys down the fairway. When they stopped to hit a shot, she would catch up with them. They eventually got to the green and the clubhouse, where people were feeding her small bits of hotdog.

When I found out that she was there, I immediately got her, got a box and a blanket and some food and water. She was a sick little thing. She had bad ear mites and a respiratory infection; she had snot running from her nose. She had a crook in her tail like it had been broken at one time. Of course I took her to the vet then to my house. She was so sweet and loving and no matter how you picked her up she would climb up to your shoulder and nuzzle her head in your neck, just like a baby. She had a beautiful coat with one tiny white spot on her side. We named her CADDIE the Golf Course Cat.

She grew like all cats do but this one was a stinker. She loved to be in or on the highest thing in the room. Perched up there surveying her kingdom. One time we were remodeling the kitchen and the cabinets were all piled up and she decided to climb up on top and it fell over on top of her. I heard her crying and when I found here she was holding her little paw up and telling me she had hurt it. Back to the vet. It seemed like I was always taking her in for something. They x-rayed and she had a broken toe but nothing could be done so she limped around for awhile. The other thing about her is she never learned to MEOW. She would talk with little mews in the back of her throat. She never opened her mouth to talk. And she loved dairy products! I don’t care where she was in the house, if somebody got ice cream, yogurt, milk of any kind, she was there wanting some. And I couldn’t refuse her. One time I made crème brulee and had it out on the counter to cool. For those of you that don’t know, it is made with heavy cream and eggs. I came back to the crème brulee and there was a little track licked up across the dish.

She was a loving, adorable, beautiful, funny, silly cat. She came to us April 2000 and 16 years later I had to give her up. She had gotten old and weak and wasn’t eating. So I had to say goodbye.

She is now in a better place where she can have all the ice cream and yogurt she wants.

Lonesome Jack says…

Personally, I don’t think that there’s intelligent life on other planets. Why should other planets be any different than this one?

If you don’t like it, build a bridge and get over it.

Christ’s return is near. Don’t miss it for the world!
