In order to be a margin doodler, first one must have margins.

Looking at the paintings I have found over the last year has resulted in quite a few of thembeing not to my liking. However, as all of them were on illustration board of various plys Ithought they might make excellent mailart items. In painting over the stuff I had an idea toplay with the literal concept of margin doodling. A central image surrounded by a paintedborder that I would doodle on. Fifteen paintings got covered and fifteen paintings were madeusing the time honoured technique of finger painting (which was a lot of fun).

I decided that the doodles would be of various cartoon elements I have created over theyears. Quizzical Suns, Lollipop Trees, Mitten Clouds comprise the majority of the doodlesand there are a couple of paintings that have a domino theme as I intend to send one ofthose paintings to Vincent Pons (http://ponsvinc.blogspot.com/) as he has a thing withdominoes.
