And help me, Lord, to live for You

Dear Friend,

Our exciting new Superbook® series introduces children to the adventure and wonder of knowing God through the stories of the Bible. Traveling from Creation to Revelation, this state-of-the-art animation will teach children powerful lessons about God’s love and plan, while keeping them wonderfully entertained.

Superbook: “The Last Supper” takes viewers back in time to when Jesus was preparing to finish His earthly ministry. Imagine wearing sandals as you walk on dusty or muddy roads with crowds of people and herds of animals. How would your feet look—and smell? In Bible times, the lowliest servants had to kneel down and wash people’s dirty feet. How would you feel if you were forced to do

that? Yet Jesus chose to do this to show the disciples how much He loved them! Read John 13:1, 4-5.

What do you think Jesus wanted His followers to learn? Read John 13:12-15.

Do you remember what Jesus told the

disciples when they were arguing about who was the greatest? Read Mark 10:42-45. What are some ways we can serve other people and show them God’s love?

True King humble ServanT lamb of god

Why did Chris want to be treated like a rock star? How do you think his friends felt about his attitude? If you were a great ruler entering a big city, what kind of celebration would you want? Why do you think Jesus chose to enter Jerusalem on a donkey instead of a big horse? Read Matthew 21:1-5.

Jewish people worshipped God in the temple, and people who were not Jewish could pray in the outer courtyard. What happened when Jesus entered the temple? See Mark 11:15-17. He was upset that money changers were stealing from people who wanted to

connect with God. Although Jesus was angry, He didn’t sin, just as Ephesians 4:26 says, Be angry but do not sin (nrsv).

The Lord doesn’t want anything to stop people from being saved so they can live with Him forever. Can you guess what Jesus is called in heaven? Read 1 Timothy 6:15.

When the Israelites were slaves, Pharaoh finally let them go after a plague killed the Egyptians’ oldest sons. Why didn’t the Israelites’ sons die, too? See Exodus 12:7, 13. God said if they put lambs’ blood on their doorposts, He would pass over their homes and spare their sons. Jewish people celebrate this each year with a Passover meal. How did it get that name?

Before Jesus died, He gathered His closest friends for the Passover, which was their last supper together. Do you remember what food and drink was served? Read Matthew 26:26-28. What did Jesus say this means?

Can you guess why Peter called Jesus the Lamb of God? See 1 Peter 1:18-19. Do you ever feel guilty for doing bad things? Everyone sins—but Jesus bled and died on the cross to set us free from our sins! Read Romans 3:23-25.

PRAY: Lord Jesus, I praise You because You are the true King and You will rule forever! Amen.

PRAY: Dear Jesus, thank You for dying to save me from my sins. Please show me how to live for You. Amen.

PRAY: Dear Lord, help me to be humble instead of proud. I want to follow Your example by serving others and showing them Your love. Amen.
