WABASH ARTS CORRIDOR CRAWL

Friday, September 19, 2014 4–9 p.m. (unless otherwise listed)

The Wabash Arts Corridor Crawl, a free, public event, seeks to unleash the collective power of the Wabash Arts Corridor’s creative assets, engaging all of its educational and cultural institutions and bringing synergy to local residents,

businesses, students and the general public.

GREETINGS FROM COLUMBIA COLLEGE CHICAGO PRESIDENT KWANG-WU KIM Welcome to the second annual Wabash Arts Corridor Crawl. We are glad that you are with us and encour-age you to take full advantage of the exhibitions, performances and public programs on offer this after-noon and evening. One of the most appealing aspects of my work as Columbia College Chicago’s president has been the op-portunity that it affords me, on a daily basis, to experience the evolving neighborhood that we call home. The constant re-purposing of existing buildings, structures and public spaces as sites for diverse forms of creative practice helps to shape a collective energy that is unique among Chicago’s many communities. Our students draw on and contribute to that energy, as do the many educational, business and govern-mental partners who together make up the Wabash Arts Corridor. It is truly exciting to contemplate the future that might be built on top of this transformation. So explore, look and listen, and know that we are delighted to share what we do with you.

Kwang-Wu Kim, D.M.A.President and CEO
