The 2017 Stewardship Campaign is now concluded. At this time, we do not have the final results, but as of last week, the response was less than we had hoped for. As a committee, we have focused on the number of responses that we’ve received rather than the monetary amounts pledged. More importantly, we are trying to communicate the need for our members to become involved in the committee work of the church. As a congregation, Emanuel has always stepped up to the plate and responded in times of need. I can’t stress enough the need for our members to become more involved if Emanuel is to continue to be a vibrant force in meeting the needs of our community. Today, I want to remind those of you who haven’t responded to the pledge campaign that it’s not too late. Please give your support for Emanuel prayerful thought, both with respect to financial giving and avenues of service and fill out your pledge card and return it to the church this week. If you have misplaced your pledge card or did not receive one, please contact the church office and we will forward the form to you. To those who have responded, let me take this opportunity to thank you for your continued commitment to supporting our efforts and your service to the community. Dale Fitch Chair of Stewardship
