May 15, 2019 Position: Community Support Worker [Subcontractor] Program: Cridge Brain Injury Services Address: Location varies throughout Greater Victoria Hours per week: Varies per contract Hourly wage: $21.50 Nature of position : working under the general supervision of a Case Manager, the Community Support Worker provides, assists and monitors the support needs of survivors of brain injury and adults living in community with autism, FASD, and developmental delay; assists and monitors household activities, community integration, rehabilitation, medical appointments and mediation management, behavior management, and compensatory strategies around activities of daily living, as developed by the support team. Experience preferred : work or volunteer experience serving individuals dealing with brain injury, fetal alcohol syndrome, autism, addictions, mental health, and/or other varying barriers; understanding of trauma-informed practice. Qualifications required : Community Support Worker Certification or certification in relevant courses in the healthcare field or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience; current first aid/ CPR certificate; consent to a Criminal Record Check; ability to get around Greater Victoria is an asset.
