Stories are featured at Kae and Annie’s website. Three rules Theater Company teaches kids are to “be brave, be safe, and be respecul”. Bob Gleichauf asked what the fourth wall is. Kae answered a stage has three walls and fourth wall is space between the stage and audience. Tradionally per- formers in theater do not interac- ve with the audience and break the fourth wall. Sco Starks asked how is the theater program fund- ed. Kae said they are a for-profit company. They are more expen- sive than baby sing but less than ballet lessons. They have developed a clientele. They have two ten week programs at MSU in Fall and Winter and students studying to work with people that have special needs assist in the program. Cost was $100. per student for a week program. President Merri asked her to sign a children’s book for Dear- born Public Library and said he was sorry it was not a book about the theater. Merri said Kae brought the club meeng to life. Rotary meeng ended with sing- ing of God Bless America. Sue Surducan and Maureen Gue- vara were thanked by President Merri for represenng Dearborn Rotary at Dearborn Fire Depart- ment’s Open House this past Satur- day at Outer Drive Staon. Four people expressed an interest in finding out more about Dearborn Rotary. President Merri announced representaves from Dearborn Firefighter’s Burn Drive thanked Dearborn Rotary for our support of their golf oung. Event raised $5,500. for burned and sick children plus families in need. Livonia Rotarian Barb Lewis is looking for families to house two high school students each for the RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) event at Schoolcraſt Col- lege Thursday, 11-12-1015, through Saturday, 11-14-2015. Host families are responsible for giving students a place to sleep Thursday and Fri- day nights, transportaon Thursday and Friday evenings from Schoolcraſt to your home, transport students Friday and Saturday morn- ings to Schoolcraſt, and a dinner on Friday. Jack Tate thanked Dearborn Rota- ry volunteers for their support of the recent Dearborn Historical Museum beer tasng fund raising party. Said $3,000. was raised at the event. Event is on Saturday, 11-21 -2015 from noon to 4pm, at Gather- ing Place Clubhouse. Event includes sale of baked goods, holiday giſts, puppy peng booth and possible adopon, Mom 2 Mom Sale, giſt wrapping, music, and a visit from Santa. Looking for aendees, craſt sellers, and sponsorships. Roger Miller is looking for volun- teers to move the Santa Snaps Set to Spectrum Signs for painng and repairs aſter our Club meeng on Thursday, 10-29-2015. He is also looking for volunteers to paint and repair the Set on Saturday, 10-31- 2015, at Spectrum Signs, from 9AM to 3PM. There is a sign-up sheet. Jim Mackey led the 50/50 raffle today. Bob Ziolkowski was the win- ner of $10. Today’s speaker, Kae Mann, from 4 th Wall Theatre Company (4thwallkids.com) can best be de- scribed as VIVACIOUS! She and her co-founder’s theater company pro- vides a program for people with special needs. They are a mobile theater company and have devel- oped their program to work with children and adults with ausm, Down’s syndrome, limited mobility and other handicaps. Kae received six jobs offers in a down economy for her sign language skills, but then developed tendonis prior to graduang and taking a job. Doctor suggested giving up sign language to cure her tendonis. She followed her eternally wise mother’s advice about trying something differ- ent. Kae and Annie Klark, co-founders of their company, started working with ausc children in a theater program in Northville. Annie is a professional singer with the Michigan Opera Theater and has two theater degrees. The hobby turned into a for- profit company, which fulfilled its five year plan in the first ten months. Santa Snaps Set Refurbishing

The current set for Santa Snaps needs some TLC. Time has taken its toll on the set, and we need to ensure it looks spiffy come November. It is our intention to move the set panels to Spectrum Signs on October 29th after our Rotary meeting. Then, on Saturday, October 31st we will work on the set from 9am to 3pm.
