Encountering Jesus in the 7 Sacraments:
Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Confession, Anointing of the Sick, Marriage, Holy Orders
Jesus’ mercy is poured upon us in Confession. Baptism wipes away all sin but what happens to us when we fall into sin again? Jesus comes to save us when we but bring our sins to Him in Confession. It is really that simple. The priest can help us, our ‘job’ is simply to tell God our sins. This can be hard but the rewards are so awesome. Often the biggest hurdle is just going. A great thing to do to get over this nervousness is to go every week or so for a while to be more comfortable.
How to go to confession: Make the sign of the cross saying, “Bless me, Father, for I have sinned. It has been ______ (tell how long) since my last confession.”
Confess all your sins you committed since your last confession.
The priest will ask for you to say an act of contri-tion: You could use this prayer or your own: “O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You, and I detest all of my sins because of Your just punishments, but most of all because they offend You, my God, who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of your grace, to sin no more and to avoid the near occasions of sin. AMEN.
The priest will give you absolution & your sins are then forgiven!

Palm/Passion Sunday We will gather in the cafeteria for the Commemoration of the Lord’s Entrance into Jerusalem. If the weather is suitable, we will process outside, if not we will go through the hallway. New vo-tive candles will be removed after Palm Sunday as that there will be no burning candles for the Easter Vigil as only the Pascal can-dle is to be lit from the fire and all subsequent light comes from it.
