DESCRIPTION
RGC Supporters Fanzine
Citation preview
to the very first Issue of THE GOG.
This publicaon is aimed to promote the acvies of the RGC Supporters Club.
The Supporters Club is run by volunteers with the aim of promong the game of rugby across
north Wales and in parcular the very successful RGC based out of Eirias Park in Colwyn Bay.
In RGC’s very first compeve season playing in the SWALEC Division One East League the GOGS
WON the league and saw promoon to the Championship.
The 2013/14 Season has started very well seeing RGC climbing up to 3rd in the League having
played some very experienced and established sides and proving without doubt that the mainly
very young and home grown players deserve to playing at this high level.
RGC are a well supported team who consistently a3ain greater a3endances than most in not only
the Championship but in the Premiership also.
RGC offers a unique opportunity for players from all over north Wales to reach any level. Whilst
many of our opponents in the south have a rich history over decades of players being capped at
naonal level, RGC is already there with representaon for Wales U20 and Wales 7s. One thing
for sure players from the north are ge9ng noced and it won’t be long before our first RGC
player gets a full internaonal call and get to don the red cap and shirt. The last match by Coleg
Llandrillo was watched by none other than the current Welsh and Lions Head Coach - Warren
Gatland!
