Our students continue to learn and grow, and exhibit fine citizenship qualities. We are proud of their spirit and talent, accomplishments and generosity, and service to the community. What a strong school community we have and how fortunate we are to be able to work together to positively impact the lives of our students! The November/December Harbinger will look forward to many wonderful events: The fall play, kick-off to winter sports, holiday concerts and of course Winter Break! Please take a moment to review/retain important dates and events. As the new-year approaches my hope for each of you is that you have time to relax and reflect. Given the nature of our demanding world, budgeting time is becoming increasingly difficult. I hope everyone has a chance to take some time for themselves and their family. That is a precious gift for the season. Thank you for all your support and I wish each family a wonderful holiday season and Happy New Year! BTBB, Ken Chaffin GHHS Principal

GHHS INDUSTIAL TECHOLOGY CLASSROOM By  ALAN  FROMAN  ,  TriVillage  News  Brad Gintert just can't help himself. "I come to class each day with a smile on my face," Grandview Heights High School's industrial technology teacher said. The grin is there because he and his students have a lot of new equipment to use and learn from thanks to a donation from a Grandview alum, who wishes to remain anonymous. The donation of about $200,000 paid for the purchase of computers, a 3D printer and a computer numerical-controlled router as well as improvements to the IT classroom itself, "It was an incredibly generous donation," Gintert said. "The kids are excited about the new equipment, and so am I. "It is unusual for a school to have a 3D printer, he said. "It's such a cool new technology," Gintert said. "It's great for rapid prototyping so kids get to see what they design. They can see it, handle it and feel it. The students do all their design work on computers," he said. The purchase of 10 robotics kits allowed the school to create a new robotics class, Gintert said.
