THE JUNIOR PREZ SEZ The season is now well and truly underway and there are some great results and ladder positions from a lot of our Senior and Junior teams: Sunday 1sts Equal 1 st Sunday 2nds 2 nd Saturday 1sts - Equal 1 st U/15 4 th U/13 5 th We have been finally able to arrange for the synthetic pitch at the Oakleigh South Secondary College to be repaired so all teams that use this as their home ground will no longer have to contend with the ripped and holey pitch. Please look after it and make sure it is a few years before we need to fix or replace it. I would like to give a big thanks to all of those who sold and purchased the Melbourne Cup sweep tickets last week. The small effort everyone puts in certainly helps in raising funds for the club so we can upgrade equipment and keep subs as low as possible. Whilst on the topic of fundraising, next weekend (16 th November) is our biggest fundraising event for the year and always proves to be a fun and interactive evening. Please do your best to pull a table together or team up with other parents/team members and come along (see below or website for more details). Huge congratulations to Sam Edmundson for making the Inner South East Scorpions squad and to Pat Edmundson and Luke Ashen for making the U/14 representative squad Nolan Plate. Well done boys. Also, I would like to congratulate Charlotte Goodwin-Galea who played junior cricket with the Krushers for the last 6 years. This year Charlotte has taken a big and rewarding leap into women’s senior cricket and is showing them how it is done at Box Hill. A few players have just passed or are about to pass some game milestones. Congratulations (past and future) to these players and thanks for playing at the Mighty Krushers: Zac Peeler - 100 games (Zac was able to play his 100 th game with his dad and brother Jordan which was a great thrill) Andrew Weymouth - 100 games Nathan Kennett - 98 games Jaymes Stout - 98 games Nikhil Singh 50 games Mitchell Powell - 50 games Ryan Smith - 49 games Michael Psarakis - 48 games Finally, on a not so cheerful note; whilst one of our teams was playing at the Secondary College on either the weekend of the 19/20 or 26/27 October someone outside of our club has entered the unlocked toilets we have graciously been granted access to and has tagged with spray paint several internal walls. Understandably the school and council are not happy. If anyone saw anybody who was not involved in the cricket games enter the toilets or suspiciously hanging around please let Gunna or I know.
