The Kingdom within my heart The central message of the Gospels is about the Kingdom of God coming into our hands at this very moment. Such is an irony if compared to other passages of Sacred Scripture, specifically the Gospel according to St. Luke. The Gospel of Luke present the Kingdom from Jesus’ birth up to the times of the early Church communities. Therefore, the Kingdom of God is not yet at hand, but unfolds through history, slowly. It made me ponder, if God is God, is He is all-powerful, why can he establish His Kingdom in an instant? What made it so long that the Church up to this present moment still struggles, scavenges in the midst of scandals? It seems that it does not possess the Characteristics of the Kingdom. Why are some priests, bishops and popes scandalous? Why do there needs to be killing of innocent people? Why do people suffer? Where can we experience that refuge, and comfort You promised? The Kingdom within my heart

The central message of the Gospels is about the Kingdom of God coming into our hands at this very moment.

The Kingdom of God cannot be experienced because we up to this time expecting that the Kingdom is somewhere, separate, in a different dimension, somewhat spatially or temporally separate. Rather, the Reign of God, depends on us, if we allow Him to possess us. The Kingdom is a state, for me, of remembering, reminiscing and reliving what Jesus lived. That is, he endured time, he is patient. For such experience will make the Kingdom Strong and invulnerable to the enemy. Moreover, Jesus did not lived, but up to now, he continually lives in me. Telling me: “Brethren, listen! I Am here, I Am the Fire that burns within you; the Light that guides your way, the Bread of Life that gives you strength so that you may be my companion and have the zeal of establishing My Kingdom in the hearts of others.”

I should be then an instrument of the Good News. I follower of Jesus. I should strive to be like him even in the midst of temptations. The kingdom of God, suffers, because it is human, but if it is established on a foundation that is firm, within the hearts of everyone, it will never be shattered.
