And so the miracle happened! After nine months Anna gave birth to a little girl. And they named her Mary.

Where is little Mary? What is she about to do?

An angel came from heaven and said to them, “God has heard your prayers. You will have a baby. And the whole world will speak about this child!”

“Glory to God,” cried out Anna. “I will offer the child to God and to His service.”

Joachim and Anna were good and loving husband and wife.

They loved God very much and they would often bring costly gifts

to the Temple.

But they had grown old and they had not had any children.

With hearts full of sorrow, they prayed to God to give them a child.

The little baby Jesus laid down his head and fell asleep.

What is the angel holding? What do you think that Mary is thinking?

Christ and the Mother of God have been invited to a wedding. “The wine has finished. Please, my child, help us.

You who can do everything,” whispered Mary to her Son. Then Christ said to the servants: “Fill the jars with water up to the top.”

Then he blessed the water and it turned into wine. When the guests tried it, they thought that it was very good.

Thanks to his mother, Christ performed his first miracle.
