Very soon Aleeta's eagerness transformed our idea of what a show should be. Her passion for beautiful glass aroused our own, and our show and sale became nationally known as the "Age of Elegance". Aleeta felt strongly about honoring and preserving the past. She and Tom joined the National Depression Glass Association and not really knowing how to live life any other way, worked hard for both NOGA and FGSNT and our national parent, FGSA. The table was filled with all kinds of goodies, homemade, whipped up by Aleeta that morning and served on her beautiful glassware, most often the Ruby Argus. We always used "the good stuff' at Aleeta's. Of course, conversation would have to include the latest antics of Chase and Shelbie, her beloved grandchildren.
