Congratulations! From our lab to yours, CPR Tools, Inc. is proud to introduce the latest innovation in data recovery technology. Designed for the lab and out in the field, use Mimic when size matters.

Mimic was built with you in mind. This product features the traditional 5-inch touchscreen that you’re used to, with USB 3.0 and SATA ports for faster reads and writes. You’ll be in full control of your recoveries with the option to start, pause, and resume your work at any time with the touch of a button. Mimic’s recovery journals automate processes for logging operator information, source and destination data, and recovery statistics. Recovering similar information? Create and run your own scripts on Mimic to make saving all of your music files, documents and more a breeze!

Make data recovery easy with Mimic. Built by and for information technology experts, this tool is sure to enhance your recovery technique.

Clone data quickly from a source device or partition to a destination device or partition. File Copy specified files from a source file system directly to a destination drive folder. Create an image of a source device in RAW, RAW compressed, .E01 and .Ex01 formats.

Mimic’s small size makes it portable enough to suit your needs. We didn’t forget security, either. It comes equipped with a passcode locking feature to keep information private while operating a recovery

Mimic supports FAT, FAT16, FAT32, exFAT, NTFS, EXT2, EXT3, EXT4, HFS and HFS Plus file systems.

InterfacesOne of Mimic’s strengths is the number of supported interfaces. Source media will be attached on the left side of the unit. Mimic supports eSata and USB 3.0 Sources.

Mimic has three (3) destination interfaces on the right side of the unit: one USB 3.0 and two eSATA destinations are provided.

The USB 3.0 and eSATA ports provide the user with the opportunity to use any media for which there is a compatible enclosure. This opens the door to literally any type of media to beused as Mimic source or destination.

The JumpStart port is on the rear of the device. This feature will be available in a future release. Watch for this remarkable technology which will allow the user to boot a system using Mimic and enable a data recovery effort without the need to remove the source media from its host system.

Use Case for Fast Clone

Fast Clone can be useful for incremental snapshots of a working hard drive. This is one example:

User ‘John’ decides to ‘fast clone’ his 500GB drive and stores ‘All Files’ on the destination using Mimic’s Fast Clone process. John then puts his original 500GB back into service; during this time, several files change and some are added. Again, John performs a Fast Clone using the same Source and Destination media. This time, Fast Clone merely detects the differences in the files and incrementally copies only the updated and added files.
