Your club elections! Get

those done before summer

starts so you have time to train

your predecessors.

Here's one last shout-out

to Alan Beistegui, our

immediate past LTG!

Division 28 salutes you

and all your hard work! :)

I'm hoping

(hoping!) to have a PCM

before June, but with AP

testing and whatnot, this'll

be hard to squeeze in.

Fingers crossed! I'll be

leaving for Dallas for five

weeks starting June 10th.

Hopefully, I'll still be

available to contact. I'll

certainly do my best to

respond as normal to any

of your emails.

That's all for now. I

hope this year will

absolutely amazing!

Key club love to you all,

Nancy Huang

Hey Division 28!

I'm so excited to be

your new LTG! I'll do my

best to make this a year of

fun and meaningful

experiences for everyone.

As of now, one

hundred percent of our

clubs have paid their dues

to International. Hurray! I'm

proud of you all (:

Since I wasn't able

to go to DCON, there's not

much I can say firsthand. I

know that Key Clubbers

from all over Texas and

Oklahoma bonded and

learned much about

service. I know it was an

amazing experience for all

who went, and I highly

encourage everyone

(myself included) to go

next year!

ABOUT MOI |

A SHORT BIO

I've lived in Houston just about my

entire life, my biggest move being

from an apartment to a house like

4 miles away. I proceeded to

grow up with some typical crazy

awesome Asian parents and an

equally awesome little bro. This

has all amounted to a rather

sheltered life, so if I ever have

some adventure in the big city, it's

bound to be entertaining.

LIKES: avocados, piano, puns, running, tennis, film score music, turtles, Jason Mraz, doodling, coloring, reading children's books, big words (like "melancholy") DISLIKES: tootsie rolls, hard candy, artificial cherry flavor, very scary movies

DIVISIONAL PROJECT

So one of the best

parts of being LTG is betting

to pick the project for our

division. Since my little brother

has autism, this is an issue that

I'm hoping to get Key

Clubbers more involved in.

And...that's as specific

as I've established so far. I've

been looking into different

organizations that we could

fundraise for or work with.

Best Buddies, for example,

pairs high schoolers with

young autistic kids and gets

them to bond and do stuff

together.

Anyways, those are

just thoughts. If you have any

ideas, feel free to email me

with ideas! I'm absolutely

open to any suggestions! I'm

hoping to get everything

about this project settled by

June so you clubs'll be able

to participate in it as soon as

you please. (:

THIS YEAR'S GOALS

The best way to achieve

your goals is to write them

down! Here are some of

mine:

Get more clubs

participating in district-wide

projects

Charter a new club

Make a real difference in

our community while

growing closer as a division

"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others." Mahatma Gandhi

Never, ever be afraid to ask

me any questions you may

have! I'm always open to

suggestions and I'd be

happy to help you guys with

anything you need (no

matter how awkward I may

seem :P)

Me

awkwarding

at Clear Lake

High School's

prom! Yes, I

did finish all

that sushi.

Volunteering

at fish camp

as free-hugs-

giving Domo.

This of course

is not

representative

of what I

actually look

like.

YOU OUGHT TO KNOW

GOVERNOR'S PROJECT

Our new governor, Mr. Brian

O'Hara, has chosen the

Children's Miracle Network

as the district project this

year. CMN is a network of

hospitals that promotes the

health care of children.

Check them out!

PROJECT ELIMINATE

Join the fight against neo-

natal tetanus! Kiwanis and

UNICEF have partnered up to

help eliminate this painful and

deadly disease for women

around the world. (More info

here.)

NEW WEBSITE

Don't forget to check out

the new Texas-Oklahoma

Key Club website,

tokeyclub.org! Aside from

being gorgeous, club

members can go on to find

out lots of information

about the goings-on of our

district and access lots of

resources from our officers.

STUFF TO KEEP IN MIND

Always be checking

Facebook /emails for stuff

that I send you. Likewise, I'll

always do my best to

answer your questions. A

huge part of Key Club is

communication!

Don't forget to send in

monthly secretary reports

each month!

Send articles/pictures to the

Tex-o-Key! Your club gets

points and gets (district-

wide) famous (:

OFFICER ELECTIONS

Summer is coming! Make sure

you've gotten a new board

of officers installed before

school lets out. Right now is

the easiest time to have

elections since everyone's

already in the same place

and not off vacationing.

If you want, tell me

when you're having elections

so I can attend! I would love

to come meet you and your

club members in person <3

T-O WANTS YOUR CONTACT

INFO!

Don't forget to log on to the T-

O district website and input

your officer contacts for 2012-

2013! This gives me as well as

your district officers the ability

to send you crucial updates!

Do you love your district? Then go like

the T-O Facebook page for updates

from the district!

Can't say no

to this guy!

Isn't this the

cutest

depiction of

Uncle Sam

ever? :D
