EditorialThis is an experimental magazine. Paper is a laboratory. Skill 3 students write here. We are young, who woke up early Monday through Friday and from 5 to 8 in the morning to try to be bilingual one night.The magazine contains several articles. The topics can be found under the issues we care about students. That's why several articles talk about sports and technology is done.The magazine was done in several stages. The truth is that the first step towards creation occurred when we enrolled in the Colombo Americano with a dream to learn English. As time has passed, and the levels of the course, we have been learning the language.

At first we only knew general words. Then we construct sentences. Short talks and later paragraphs. In skill II work in short texts and now decided to improve them and publish in this journal. The process was coordinated by Professor Jaisson Urquijo. To make work more organized we divided into three groups: Editors, Diseñes and Marketing. We are all authors of the content.We hope that readers will find topics of interest and read the magazine with a critical eye. We identify errors to correct and improve. It is a Country island in the Lesser Antilles. Barbados is a rela-tively flat island, shaped somewhat like an upside-down leg of ham, narrow at its northern end, its west coast relatively straight, and its east coast gently curving outwards before bending back to form the south. Barbados is outside of the principal Atlantic huracane belt.

There are beaches everywhere. Along the East coast they are wide and wind-blown. Here the shore is pounded by the Atlantic making it a delight for the surfers who come from all over the world. The largest city of the island is its capital, Bridgetown. Barbados coastal regions are flat, and the interior of the island has mountainous terrain. Golden Beach, named for its beautiful sand, is ideal to relax, appreciate the beauty of the place or for water sports, swimming, windsurfing and sailing.

Wildlife is not abundant but can be seen on the island monkeys, mongoose, hares, ducks, frogs and diversity of birds. The fauna has been thinned to make room for crops, especially sugar cane for the production of molasses, refined sugar and rum (which was distilled here for the first time), but there are plants with flowers of exotic beauty.

Underwater lovers have in Bar-bados ideal place not only for the spectacles of coral reefs and mari-ne species, but also by the remains of sunken ships in the vicinity.

he Amazon is the region located to the south of Colombia, between the countries of Brazil and Peru. It is the biggest tropical jungle and with most biodiversity of the world. This region is known also as the lung of the world and a natural reserve of big propor-tions. This wonderful place has six million square kilometers of continental area. For this reason Colombia is considered as one of the countries richer in flora and fauna.

The expedition to the Colombian Amazonas is considerate as one of the adventures ecotourism more fascinating.

Also it is a cultural experience for the possibility of visit territories where inhabit ethnic primitive groups. In this site live: Huitotos, Yaguas and Ticunas. In this travel you can meet indigenous families, immense trees, different types of birds, reptiles and the exotic ani-mals as the pink dolphin.

The Amazon has different sites to meet. Between these are: Ca-huinari Natural Park, Amacayacu Natural Park, Puerto Nariño, Tara-poto Lake, Monkey Island, Dosel Tanimboca, Tabatinga and other special places. Chicamocha National Park is one of the parks in Co-lombia dedicated to ecotourism. It is one of first touristic places in Colombia. This park is located in Santander Colombia, nearby to Bucaramanga, exactly to 54 kilo-meters. Chicamocha was opened since 2th December of 2006.

The park’s places promote values of land, the landscape and the culture of the people of Santander.

For this, is one of the parks in Co-lombia dedicated to ecotourism. In Chicamocha National Park you can do some interesting activities. What are these activities? First, you can mount by cable car or by cable flight, but too, you can find one track of skating and one track to buggies.

You can visit different attractions, there are Jumping, ostriches’s park, goat’s park, gazebo 360°, paragli-ding and boating. If you want walk or cycling, in Chicamocha you can do this activities and many more.

One beautiful alternative if you come to Colombia

If you come to Colombia, you should go to Chicamocha National Park. In Colombia you can find di-fferent types of parks, for example in Armenia you can find Coffee National Park that is also a park dedicated to ecotourism. Too, if you want visit some snow, in Co-lombia this is San Agustin’s park. However, if you come to Colombia is obligatory go to Chicamocha National Park.

For me, Chicamocha is a very good idea if you like to do some different activities and if you love the nature. I recommended this park for people that want know one place different, for do some activities and also take some pho-tos of the beautiful landscapes in Chicamocha National Park.

n unforgettable experience for everyone is visit the Iguazu´s Waterfalls, considered a wonder of the world.

This place was originated 200.000 years ago in the union of the rivers Iguazú and Paraná among the frontiers of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay.

The park can be visited by any of the three countries, being Argenti-na the country with major quantity of waterfalls and Brazil the country with the best view. Depending on the water level, the people can see between 160 to 260 falls, that on average flow at a rate of 1500 cubic meters of water per second.

The biggest fall is called the devil's throat and it´s the principal at-traction of the park. The balconies in form of ring permit a special view of the colossal “throat” in the final of the upper circuit: a giant horseshoe-shaped waterfall 150 meters long and 80 meters high. In this amazing place, you can listen the roar of the waterfalls, feel the vapor of the water and appreciate the rainbows that form amongst the clouds of water and rays of the sun. This fabulous place is located 2080 m from the Devil's Station and you can arrive by the Ecological Jungle Train, 5 km from the Central Station, surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes.

Through the lower circuit you can take the boats which are fully equipped for crosses to San Martin Island. This is the only island of the lower circuit and is composed of flora and fauna own to the Park. On the island there is a unique geologic formation called “The Window”, that permits a specta-cular view of the Devil’s Throat and the Brazilian side of the falls. Through the boats, the people can arrive too near from the junction of the River with the Waterfalls and live an incredible experience full of adrenaline.

Additionally the park offers other activities to visitors to be in con-tact with nature. In the “Ivira Retá” Natural Interpretation Cen-tre, the people can find a detailed explanation of the jungle´s biodi-versity and local culture.

The ecological jungle train offers a spectacular trip across the jungle and along the Iguazu River. This is a good option to enjoy flora, fauna and one of the most beautiful landscapes of the world.

In other words, the biotechnology is the application of studies and advances in life science to develop commercial products.

Biotechnology has applications in industrial areas such as health care, with the development of new approaches for treating diseases; agriculture, with the development of improved processes; environ-mental care, such as recycling and cleanup of sites contaminated by industrial activities and other uses such as biodegradable plastics, vegetable oils and biofuels.
