Palm Sunday is a celebration for honouring Jesus Christ's victorious entry into Jerusalem. While this was a joyful, special occasion for his followers, this event took
place towards the end of his days on Earth before being crucified.

St Ceallach {Celsus} 1st April He was an Abbot in Armagh 1105 and later Archbishop. He was influenced by the reform that was making progress in Munster and helped reform the Irish Church with the Council of Rathbreasail. The Council established the present diocesan System.
St. Francis of Paola 2nd April Was born in Calabria in the year 1416. He founded a congregation of hermits which was later called the Order of Minims and approved in 1506. He died at Tours in France in 1507.
4th St. Isidore Became bishop of Seville in the year 600 and ruled for the next 36 years. His writings created a veritable encyclopaedia of knowledge. He completed the Mozarabic liturgy. 5th St. Vincent Ferrer
A Spanish Dominican priest, preached missions in Europe, helped bring unity to the Church during the Great Schism, died 1419.

Kiltiernan National School are now taking enrolments for September 2021. For enquiries please email [email protected]. Virtual tour of school can be arranged on request. Breakfast and Homework club and afterschool services available. Preschool E.C.C.E. children welcome. Kiltiernan School will have a recycling collection on Monday morning April 19th. Bags of clothes, pairs of shoes, belts, handbags and ties can be placed inside the school gate in bags before 11 a.m. on the Monday morning of the 19th.
