With resources such as Bishop Robert Barron’s Word on Fire and Jason Evert’s Chosen, among others, Our Lady of Good Counsel Religious Edu-cation Department is pleased to be able to offer two sessions highlighting the importance of a Catholic marriage. Whether you’ve been married 50 days or 50 years, there is something to be gained as these sessions will highlight Marriage as a Sacrament, the Spirituality of Marriage, and even ideas to enrich and improve your marriage.
“After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others whom he sent ahead of him in pairs to every town and place he intended to visit. He said to them, “The har-vest is abundant but the laborers are few; so I ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his har-vest.” Luke 10: 1-2 Dear Fellow Parishioners, I would like to take this opportunity to share with you what a privilege it is to Coordinate Visitations to Homebound Members of our Parish. As we read in the scripture passage above, we all are needed to carry out this vital and important minis-try. So, I ask you to prayerfully consider this request. Only a short period of time is needed, as little as twenty minutes – one to two times a month. The visits are based on what is convenient for you and your family. It is hard to describe how rewarding these visits become as relationships are developed with the homebound members of the parish. If you have never had this ex-perience, training is available. Please be reassured that I will go over what takes place during the visitation, and accompany you on your first visit if it would make you feel more comfortable. To better organize this ministry, I am requesting that every Extraordinary Minister (past, present and those considering volunteering) fill out the form below and either return it to the Trinity Center or the sacristy to my attention. If you have any questions, please contact me at 215-588-1399. I thank you in advance for your time and cooperation. May our Lord bless you and your family in this New Year! ~JoFranGarson~ -----------------------------------------------------------

Dynamic Catholic Book Program
The Dynamic Catholic Book Program is fully funded by donations from Our Lady of Good Counsel parishioners, organizations and local businesses. Many thanks to all our do-nors, greeters and helpers who sponsored and supported the distribution of 2000 copies of Matthew Kelly's book "The Biggest Lie in the History of Christianity" at all the Christmas Masses this past December. The world is in desperate need of change, and no one is in a better position to affect that change than Christians. We have an incredible opportunity to dispel the lies and cut through the confusion and false promises around us. This book provides the practical tools neces-sary to help you regain your fervor and leave your mark on the world—and experience more happiness than you thought possible. Together we can change the course of history—with hu-mility, generosity, kindness, and joy, one Holy Moment at a time. Your blessed efforts provided a beautiful Christmas gift from Our Lady of Good Coun-sel Parish for the many people who attended Mass on Christmas Day. May God bless you and your families this New Year!
