Fun with Flowers
Fun with Flowers
The partnership between Nirimba Outreach, Dean Park
Community Centre & Richmond Floristry
It started when a local community wanted Mt Druitt Outreach to offer a floristry
course.
The group was able to use a hall in Glendenning.
The students loved the work and enjoyed having their floral pieces
photographed.
The collaboration between the three partners started when
Nirimba Outreach wanted to offer a floristry course.
This is when Dean Park Community Centre was approached as a venue.
The first group at Dean Park Community Centre was in
semester 2 of 2011.
It was an enthusiastic group that thoroughly enjoyed all
aspects of the training.
How proud they were to make the table decorations
for their last day celebration!
The second group at Dean Park Community Centre was
in semester 1 of 2012.
How pleasing it is to tell you that we have at Richmond a new
Certificate II Floristry class from these groups at Dean Park
Community Centre.
And we will be starting the third Outreach group at Dean Park Community Centre in August
2012.
Thanks must go to Carol Smith from Nirimba, Karen Tyler from Dean Park Community Centre and Samantha Harper from
Richmond Floristry.
