Winter in America! On the 13th of February, the Poernomo family arrived in the bitterly

old New York . We stayed in the luxurious “ New York Palace”

where all our desires were fulfilled. A few blocks down from our ho-

el, was the magical, wonderful, “American Girl” store, where Lucy

he doll’s dreams came true! From a dolly hair salon to a café made

pecially for the our miniature friends, Lucy and her owner, Sakina,

were in absolute awe!

Another of our activities included traveling to the city of Boston,

where Sakina, Mum and I stayed at my best friend, Shalini, house. In

he time we spent here, we went to the science museum, ice skating

nd we played in the snow.

Our trip to America was both fun and exciting, thanks to all our hosts!

Ickworth Intrigues

n the prime of May we went to Ickworth for a break. We stayed in a

oom called Browny. It had two bedrooms, two bath rooms and a

itchen/living room. I shared one bedroom with Amina, my older sis-

er. My parents had the other bedroom. We went cycling on bumpy

oads, near stinging nettles and dry green grass. Me and Amina went

o the secret garden while our mum and dad ate dinner, we jumped on

trampoline. I went in a small house but I was to big to fit in! Then

we had to go in. The beds were so comfy, both beds had a little table

n the side with a lamp.

Our trip was the best!

Journey to the Lake District, land of poets and ancient druids, was long and picturesque. We stayed at the lake Winder-

mere near Beatrice Potter ’s world museum to fulfil Iman’s childhood Peter the Rabbit obsession. Poernomos cruised o

the boat along Windermere lake, cycled through the Grizedale forest on the mountain bikes. It was Easter holiday and we

met crowds of daffodils following the steps of Wordsworth and Coleridge.

Another reason for visiting Lake district was to initiate Asel ’s glass spheres to tune in with the emerging waveforms fol

lowing spring equinox Solar eclipse .We listened to the sound of the singing bowls and Tibetan gongs echoing within the

Castlerigg stone circle, 10 thousand year old ancient druid cosmic observatory.

Musical Achievements

In 2015 Poernomos continued their communication through music journey. Aminamastered her singing performance at the festivals where she won a few cups andmedals for the first prize. Blooming musician achieved victorious distinction inviolin exam in November. Sakina had her first performance of Beethoven’s sym-

phony N 5 at the Bromley Festival. In December a Merit for Trinity exam in cello

was a cherry on her musical pie.

Well done, Poernomo padawans, the musical force is with you!Meanwhile, the Poernomo parents reanimated their Electronic Punk band Friendsof Design and performed provocative Zen mastermind gigs at the Yard Theatre andIklectik art Centre. Renowned Kazakh performance artist and singer Cosmic Sallywas invited to play her musical influences on the radio in August.

Autumn months inspired Monsieur Poernomo to pick up his saxophone thusFriends of Design has a virtuoso sax solos and jamming on the new coming in 2016album The Covering! Watch this space for the release dates !

“We’re conducting research into session types,” Legato the Cat told t

and goings (technically, the choreography) of rodents, both inside the

house and in the garden behind it. It potential benefits to the whole of

catmanity, er, I mean humanity.”

“I wanted to get back into research at

Imperial after several years working onmy unicorn farm,” says Legato’s student

Cosmic Sally. “Professor Legato is a

world leader in her field, a genius when

it comes to mice choreography. I’m

lucky to have her as a supervisor, even

though she’s pretty strict — she bites my

ankle when I’m late for a deadline —

and demands regular treats. She’s also

kind of messy when we run practical

experiments (she eats mice whole, bones

and all).” Prof. Legato draws blood.

In the many holidays that have taken place during the year,

Sakina and I have met up with multiple friends from multiple

dimensions in space and time, including Sakina’s dopple-

ganger Ariane from Earth-2, the Reverse Amina, Nimnim,

Count Dracula, Yoyo and

Aims.
