ence (RAWE) programme

being conducted in 09 villages

of Rahata tahsil.

Under the RAWE

programme students get the

opportunity to stay for a

period of five months in a

rural environment and gain

actual field experience in areas

like seed treatment, demon-

stration, crop cultivation

tional Yoga Day was cele-

brated with great pomp and

fervor at all Pravara Rural

Education Society Institutes.

During this mega event the

students learnt about the

importance of practice of

yoga and meditation.

The International Yoga Day

was spent in spreading

awareness about yoga and

discussing the benefit of its

adoption in daily life style.

The villages namely Rui,

Nimgaon, Pimpalwandi, Nandurkhi

are working under the guidance of

The Simple manually operated Milking Machine, designed and developed by final year students of Mechanical Engineering Department at Padmashri Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil Institute of Technology and Engineering (Polytechnic) as a part of their project, is a low cost hand operated milking machine affordable to small farmers. This Project was awarded the First prize (Rs. 75000/-) in MSBTE State Level Project Competition 2015-16 organized at Government Polytechnic, Dhule. Industrial Training Institute,Loni Updates!

Pravara Rural Education Society(PRES) has undertaken a massive plantation drive from Friday involving

plantation of saplings of indigenous plants. The drive, which began on Friday, saw PRES Executive Chairman

Dr. Ashok Vikhe Patil ,Major. Gen. Neeraj Bali (CEO ) and other Officials and students planting saplings on the

college campus. As a part of Van Mahotsav celebrations throughout the country, Tree plantation drive is being

conducted at Institutes under Pravara Rural Education Society(PRES) in a bid to conserve the green cover. The

Society has always emphasized on conservation of trees and natural resources.

A Chemistry Workshop was held on 8 July and 9 July 2016 at PGEMS under the aegis of Royal

Society of Chemistry (London) as part of Yusuf Hamied Inspirational Chemistry Programme which makes

teaching and learning of Chemistry more meaningful and effective.

The workshop was facilitated by three Trained Teacher Developers: Mrs Seema Hoskote,Vice

Principal of Gurukul school Pune , Mrs Rajashri Kulkarni, Senior teacher of science at Gurukul, Mrs Smitha

Ruffin, Secondary teacher of Gurukul school, Pune.

The workshop consisted of a series of 3 segments which are as follows:

1. From Rote learning towards Active Learning

2. Chemical reactions

3. Particle nature of matter and dealing with misconceptions in Chemistry

The goal of the workshop was to benefit all Science teachers of the Secondary section and

Chemistry teachers in particular to enhance their skills in dealing with the subject and help students to
