Area Man Wins Federal Stamp ContestSIOUX FALLS (AP) — A South Dakota artist is the winner

of the 2013 federal duck stamp contest.Adam Grimm, of Burbank, placed first in the annual U.S.

Fish and Wildlife Service art contest. There were 202 en-tries.

Grimm’s oil painting of a canvasback will be made intothe 2014-15 federal duck stamp, which will go on sale inlate June 2014.

The stamp sells for $15 and raises about $25 millioneach year to help conserve and protect wetlands.

It’s the second time that Grimm, an Ohio native, haswon the contest. His art previously appeared on the 2000-01 federal duck stamp.

The results were announced Saturday. Hoyt Smith ofTulsa, Okla., placed second and Ron Louque, of Char-lottesville, Va., finished third.
