ARRESTS • Shamiya Crockett, 21, Milwaukee, Wis., was arrested Tuesday on two war- rants for violating a written promise and two warrants for being an unlicensed driver. • Roosevelt McCarter Jr., 54, Sioux Falls, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for failure to appear on a grand theft charge. • Farah Jama, 30, Yankton, was ar- rested Tuesday for simple assault. ACCIDENTS • A report was received at 5:07 p.m. Tuesday that a 1996 Mercury Marquis driven by a Mission Hill man collided with a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by a Yankton woman in the 2300 block of Cedar Terrace. Estimated value of the damage to the vehicles was $2,950 and $1,200, respectively. • A report was received at 5:32 p.m. Tuesday that an unknown vehicle had backed into a purple Dodge Dakota pickup. The victimʼs vehicle had an esti- mated $1,500 damage. • A report was received at 10:36 a.m. Wednesday that a Buick Rainier veered off the road and collided with a sign in the 900 block of West 15th St. The driver was cited for careless driving. INCIDENTS • A report was received at 3:57 p.m. Tuesday of a lost or stolen ring in the 2100 block of West 11th St. • A report was received at 8:57 p.m. Tuesday that a male assaulted another male in the 500 block of West 21st St. The suspect was arrested for simple assault. • A report was received at 11:21 p.m. Tuesday of a ditch fire along 304th St. near Highway 81. • A report was received at 12:09 a.m. Wednesday that a man was assaulted by four unknown males in the 100 block of East Third St. • A report was received at 10:17 a.m. Wednesday that a construction crew had damaged approximately $910 worth of property at a business in the 2400 block of Broadway. • A sheriffʼs office report was received at 7:28 p.m. Tuesday that shots were fired near NW Jim River Road. Tuesday that a 1996 Mercury Marquisdriven by a Mission Hill man collided witha 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by aYankton woman in the 2300 block ofCedar Terrace. Estimated value of the

damage to the vehicles was $2,950 and$1,200, respectively.

• A report was received at 5:32 p.m.Tuesday that an unknown vehicle hadbacked into a purple Dodge Dakotapickup. The victimʼs vehicle had an esti-mated $1,500 damage.

• A report was received at 10:36 a.m.Wednesday that a Buick Rainier veeredoff the road and collided with a sign in the900 block of West 15th St. The driver wascited for careless driving.
