To provide all BRM Council members with business-wide recognition as industry leaders in the practical role of BRM and be recognized as the leading BRM council around the globe through relevant training, tool development, and fellowship. Foster the relevance and maturity of the BRM role. Leverage BRMI’s unique resources to position yourself as a driver of the BRM role within your organization. Meet Your BRM Council

ARNIE WETHERILL . PROGRESSIVE INSURANCEArnie is an IT Group Manager at Progressive Insurance, a $17B auto insurance company based in Cleveland, Ohio.He has 30 years of technology management, IT consulting, Total Quality Management (TQM), ITILv3, corporate sales, and large-scale project management experience. Since 2013, Arnie has been responsible for establishing a Business Relationship Management (BRM) team consisting of business-aligned BRMs and their support staff. Arnie’s team is focused on deepening relationships with supported Claims, Corporate, and Personal Lines business units, engaging in joint roadmap development for emerging business and technology strategies, and facilitating pace and quality of service and project delivery.

CHRIS LUCAS . PENNSYLVANIA STATE UNIVERSITYChristopher L. Lucas serves as a director in Information Technology Services (ITS) at The Pennsylvania State University where he leads a Business Relationship Management group, a Marketing and Communications team, and the University’s central IT professional development group. In this role he oversees the design, development,and implementation of large-scale strategic initiatives, which support the research, teaching, and business goals of the University.

JASON RUITER . AGRIUMJason has 12+ years of experience with 4 years as a BRM in the Information Technology Industry. This includes 8 years in the Oil and Gas Sector in pipeline, services, and production sectors. Jason has currently joined a new organization and industry, but is retaining his role in helping to support the strategy of business Operations. Jason is BRMP certified. He is a very engaged BRM who shares the desire to grow the role both locally and internationally.

DERYL HEITMAN . DISCOUNT TIREDeryl has been a Business Relationship Owner (BRO) at Discount Tire since October 2013. Over his 16+ years with Discount Tire, he has served in a variety of positions within IT including Solutions Architect, Data Architect, and Software Development Manager. Through these opportunities, Deryl has established himself as a trusted expert with the ability to communicate complex technical issues to a wide variety of audiences from executives to delivery teams.

STEPHANIE WALSH . AMERISOURCEBERGENStephanie has 15 + years of experience in the Information Technology Industry, including 11 years in the Healthcare Industry with a Fortune 28 company. Currently, she is the Senior Director of Product Strategy supporting external facing product strategy. Stephanie is ITIL Foundations v3, SPC4, and BRMP certified and has experience implementing IT Service Management. She is very passionate about the role of the BRM and is very excited to be part of its continued evolution.

JEREMY BYRNE . LOUGHBOROUGH UNIVERSITYJeremy is a Business Relationship Manager (BRM) for Loughborough University and has worked at the University for over ten years across multiple teams within the IT Services department. Jeremy helped to create BRM role within his organisation and has ensured it’s a success and has grown to encompass all areas of the University. Jeremy is an active member of the Business Relationship Management Institute and serves as a vice chair of the council. Jeremy is certified in ITIL and BRM and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Information Systems and also a Masters in Management and Leadership in Higher Education.
