HOSPITALS & PRIMARY HEALTH CARE FACILITIES

44HEALTH FACILITIES(30 Primary Health Care facilities & 14 hospitals) were supported by the ICRC on a regular basis with medical supplies, weapon wounded kits, PPE materials, and medical equipments.

CONSULTATIONS(845,461 in Primary Health Care facilities & 478,662 in hospitals) were carried out in the PHCs and hospitals supported by the ICRC.

155,333ADMISSIONS were treated in the 39 hospitals supported on ad hoc basis.

52,179ANTENATAL CARE consultations were provided in ICRC-supported health facilities.

13,359DELIVERIES were carried out in the PHCs and hospitals supported by the ICRC (8,853 deliveries in the PHCs and 4,506 deliveries in the hospitals).

776SERVICES were conducted in the Red Cross COVID-19 Care Center based in Aden (330 consultations - 101 admissions - 51 referrals to ICU - 294 COVID tests).

39HOSPITALSwere supported with weapon wounded kits and PPE materials on an ad hoc basis.

32,384SURGERIESwere performed in all hospitals supported by the ICRC.

13HEALTH FACILITIESbenefited from the constructions and rehabilitations done by the ICRC in operating room, X-ray room, etc.

INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS TO HEALTH FACILITIES

8ELECTRICAL RENOVATIONSwere conducted in 8 health facilities including rehabilitating substation building, supplying and installing solar systems and ACs, and replacing electrical panels and cables.

9GENERATORSwere donated by the ICRC in 9 health facilities with a total power of 2,140 kVA. The ICRC also donated lubricant oil and spare parts to 16 health facilities to ensure reliable electricity production.

20MIDWIVESreceived training in Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care (CeMonC) in Al Dhale'a in coordination with Ministry of Public Health and Population.

454,000CHLORINE TABLETS were donated to 11 health facilities, along with chlorine maker, chlorine powder, cleaning kits, cholera response kits to some health facilities in term of disinfection support.

PHYSICAL REHABILITATION PROGRAMME

200PRP SERVICESwere given to people in remote and vulnerable areas as an outreach programme done by the ICRC PRP teams in Sana’a, Sa’ada, and Aden.

3,800FACE SHIELDSwere produced by skilled technicians with innovative designs and were distributed to ICRC supported health facilities.

49,791SERVICESwere provided in the ICRC-supported physical rehabilitation centers (PRCs) in 5 governorates.

35,728PRP DEVICESincluding 931 prostheses, 31,049 orthoses, 3,627 walking aids, 121 wheelchairs and 14,063 physiotherapy treatment, were produced in 5 ICRC-supported PRCs.
