Martyn Evans Creative Director, U+I
U+I is the product of a merger between Development Securities PLC and Cathedral Group, two of the UK’s leading property companies. Before joining the Cathedral board in 2011, Martyn ran a successful branding and communications consultancy, working in the property, regeneration and urban design sectors. Martyn is a Board Member of the London Festival of Architecture, a member of the Development Committee of the British Property Federation and a lay assessor for the RIBA London Regional Awards. @Martynuandi @uandiplc
Jeremy Collins
Property Director, John Lewis
With 30 years experience in property, Jeremy has worked in the Economic Development Unit of Wirral Borough Council, Bredero Properties, Grosvenor Square Properties/Associated British Ports, MEPC and Lend Lease where he lead the development of Touchwood Shopping Centre, Solihull, before heading the company’s UK retail team. In late 2003 Jeremy joined John Lewis as Head of Retail Development, becoming Property Director in 2010 with responsibility for the acquisition and management of a property portfolio valued at over £1.5bn and comprises circa 10m sq ft of retail, offices and distribution floor space. Jeremy was President of BCSC for 2009. @johnlewisretail

Ruth Duston CEO and Executive Director for the Northbank BID, Victoria BID and Cheapside Business Alliance
Ruth is an expert in design and delivery of regeneration strategies combining economic, social and physical developments, delivered within a partnership framework. In 2002 she was part of the Circle Initiative responsible for piloting the first London BIDs and today has been responsible for establishing 4 of the 8 BIDs that operate across Westminster. Ruth is also involved with the City of London and is currently implementing the first BID for the square mile. She also leads on a number of business led partnerships across other high profile parts of London, such as Kings Cross. @TheNorthbankBID @VictoriaBID
Paul McGarry Head of future Merton, LB Merton
Paul McGarry is the Head of futureMerton, Merton Council’s regeneration, placemaking and economic growth team. Paul is leading on a range of strategic projects including Morden Housing Zone with the GLA and TfL, Merton Estates Regeneration Programme, Wimbledon Crossrail 2 and number of town centre public realm initiatives in Colliers Wood, Mitcham and Raynes Park. @Merton_Council

William is Chair of the Old Oak & Park Royal Development Corporation Planning Committee and a member of the main Board. His other appointments include: Chair of the Mayor of London’s Outer London Commission; Chief Executive of Accessible Retail; Joint Managing Director of property consultants LAPAR; Board Director of Newcourt Residential; independent member of the North West Surrey Care Commissioning Group Governing Body; Director and Trustee of the Rambert Dance Company; and Chair of the Advisory Board of Southampton University Business School.

Chris Townend
Head of Property Management, Transport for London
In October 2015 Chris Townend joined Transport for London’s growing Property Development team as Head of Property Development. Working with a team of development managers drawn from both the public and private sector, Chris is responsible for the launch of several high profile development opportunities into the forthcoming TfL Property Partnerships framework including sites at Nine Elms, Kidbrooke, and Southwark. Prior to TfL, Chris was the Development Director for Covent Garden Market Authority where he helped this public sector organisation secure maximum value from the redevelopment of its 57 acre site in Nine Elms. His career started with ten years at P&O Estates, and also includes six years as Director of Project Management with Gleeds. @TfL
Steve Walker
Director, Allies and Morrison
Steve is an Architect specialising in masterplanning and regeneration. He has been working on town centre regeneration projects in London for over a decade, including projects in Walthamstow and Woolwich. He recently completed the SPD for the Eden Quarter in Kingston and the masterplan for Guildford. Steve has also led a number of characterisation studies for outer London Boroughs including Barnet, Enfield, Lewisham, Hillingdon, and Waltham Forest. These map character and identify key issues and opportunities to inform planning policy.@alliesmorrison
Cllr Alan Strickland Cabinet Member for Housing and Regeneration, LB Haringey
Alan has spearheaded the council’s ambitious Tottenham and Wood Green regeneration programmes, bringing together leading figures to draw up the regeneration blueprint for the area. Alan has built strong links between the council and key partners, including the Mayor of London, local stakeholders and the investment community. Alan’s professional background is in the voluntary sector, where he has worked for a number of national charities, served as vice-chair of Alexandra Palace and Park Trust and chair of an award-winning social enterprise. @alanstrickland @haringeycouncil
Ben Wrighton
Director, GL Hearn
Ben is a Planning Director within the Development Group of GL Hearn and specialises in town centre and mixed use development and investment. He has some 18 years’ experience and worked across the UK on large scale projects in urban, town centre and ‘out of town’ environments. Ben advises on a range of commercial development across London and is currently advising Cheshire West and Chester City Council on the £300m City Centre retail led scheme in Chester. Ben has also led GL Hearn’s 4 year national research on the performance of local planning authorities which is widely referenced and is used in engagement with the Government. @GL_Hearn
Sandra Roebuck Programme Director, LB Lambeth
Sandra is the Programme Director for Strategic and Neighbourhood Investment in Lambeth. She is responsible for the Council’s regeneration, employment and enterprise activities including the preparation of the Council’s delivery plan for strategic infrastructure, and recommendations for the allocation of the Community Infrastructure Levy. Her role covers the whole borough, but with a focus on Waterloo, Brixton and Vauxhall, where Lambeth is working in partnership with Transport for London to bring about the transformation of Vauxhall including the removal of gyratory. Sandra has been with the Council for 4 years following a successful career as a Principal with EDAW and then AECOM. @lambeth_council
Matthew McMillan
Development Director, Boxpark
Matthew is Development Director at Boxpark, the worlds first pop up mall developer. Born in Shoreditch, London, each Boxpark scheme is constructed of stripped and refitted shipping containers, creating unique, dynamic low cost, low risk shopping and dining destinations. Previous successes include developing the Croydon Growth Zone proposal, a programme to bring forward a £5bn investment programme in the urban district and the Collective, a series of new co-work developments to support an international network of new tech and creative industries businesses. @boxpark
