OPORD

Update and briefing STX variables and contingencies (17

FEB), STX lanes at SJER (20 FEB), Patrolling (3 MAR), but we may need to reschedule

First STX day is 20 FEB!!! SATURDAY!

Variables and Contingencies• The goal of this lab is to expose cadets to some

of the various scenarios that they will encounter while conducting STX lanes

• A brief lecture will be given on FRAGOs and procedures to take when issued a FRAGO

• Description of common variables and then cadets will break off into squads and conduct practical excersises to where they will be placed into a variable scenario

Variables and Contingencies

• Sanders is the OIC

– Valdez, Fredrickson, Tasos, Andes

– Some guidance: Encountering live EPW, escorting media, meeting with ambassadors following and picking up civilians, mass casualty

– Any others to add?

– You need to submit what exactly (like a script or something) what you will be doing

SJER Ops

First STX lane op will be 20FEB

– Lane walkers

– Lets reference the document that was sent out

Patrolling

• Simple → we will be going over patrol ops

– Break down of a patrol, roles of different positions

– Adjusting mission types based upon squad vs patrol

– Special considerations when in a section (M60, AT4, etc)

– Fortier

Gear Issue

• MSG Lovato has requested that we use a lab to conduct a CIF type of gear issue for Molly Gear

• He would like to get it done in the next two weeks, so proposed giving him March 3rd date and moving patrolling date

Closing

• All head instructors need to present material to be given out during classes to S-3 and/or XO

– NLT than the Monday prior to class date

– AT LEAST AN OUTLINE!!!!
