• Provide procurement advice to schools• Ensure that government policies, practices

and processes are adhered to in schools• Ensure the acceptance & improvement of

procurement practices in schools • Support the centralisation & aggregation

of procurement for all schools under its remit

• The SPU will provide a comprehensive service available to every school relating to all aspects of procurement.

• Access to staff who are experienced in public sector procurement & are professionally qualified.

• Estimated savings of 20-30% in the first year and 5% in the second year.
