Operation functions contain all the activities which are directly related to the production of

the goods and providing the services. Those who are producing the goods are called the

goods oriented and those who are providing the services are called the services oriented.

Basic function of the operation manager is to giving the direction to the system in decision

and operation system.

System design decision

It involves all the decision which is related to the capacity of system, about locations,

department arrangement, equipment placement, planning about the products and services,

A number of eras support the by the operation function these are following:

Purchasing

The responsibilities to obtain the high quality raw materials, equipment, and assure that it

are the high quality. All these purchasing should be on the time. Purchasing department is

called quality evaluator. It checks the reliabilities, services, price, and have the ability to

change the demand.

Industrial engineering

It concern about the scheduling, standard about the performance, work procedure, control

the quality and handling the material.

forecast, planning about the capacity, scheduling, inventory management, quality assuring

and who motivate the employees.

It also helps us in purchasing that when to purchase the raw material and equipment etc, in
