RAHBUPDATE:

The parallel period when Matrix and Fusion will run together has now begun and RAHB data is live on Matrix! You can now access this exciting new regional MLS® system.

The best way to learn about using Matrix is, of course, attending an orientation session to learn about all the great features of Matrix. Additional orientation sessions have

been scheduled. More information about the new dates is included in The Shift Newsletter.

You can now Log into the Matrix system and take a look around for yourself. Just go to http://matrix.onregional.ca, log in and see what awaits you. An email was sent to

all members on August 27th with your NEW USERNAME. Call the Board Office if you did not receive it at 905.529.8101.

ThingstoknowaboutMatrix:• Make sure all your saved searches have been moved over properly• You will need to re-activate the auto-emails for your clients• Any CMAs saved in FUSION WILL NOT be transferred over to Matrix, so you will have

to re-create them

Additional Matrix Transition Training Sessions scheduledCouldn’t make it to one of the large CoreLogic orientation sessions for Matrix? RAHB will be offering additional Matrix transition sessions at the RAHB office. These will have

similar content to the large CoreLogic sessions, but will be presented by RAHB staff.

Monday, September 14 @ 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Register with Camryn at the RAHB office – [email protected] or 905.529.8101 x251

As of late we have noticed several agents using different print suppliers. If you would like to use your own print supplier we will be happy to supply you

with the print ready file. Otherwise, we will continue to forward your artwork to our preferred partner

SOCIAL MEDIA UPDATE:

Real Estate Social Media

905-515-1845 [email protected]

Real Estate Social Media TIP:

Remember you are working on BRAND awareness not trying to getting famous!

If you’re going to grow your business reach and brand awareness apply some new marketing strategies using social media but remember the KEY is you’re going to need TIME to do it. Time...that thing we seem to never have enough of!

#MarketingMondays - set aside this time on MONDAY, you’ll be amazed at how much you’ll be able to accomplish…and the improvements you’ll be able to make. Book your time as if you are having a meeting with the PRESIDENT of your BRAND, you will want at least a few hours to work on improving and implementing some new strategies that can help increase your social media reach.

Monday starting your week with goals and being determined to accomplish them.

Give your customers a reason to connect with you on social networks, answering the question “What’s in it for me?” and then make it very easy to do so.

Note the difference between these two calls to action:

“Like our page on Facebook” vs. “Get answers to your real estate questions on our Facebook page.

The 10 Don’ts of Mortgage Closing Okay, so here we are… we have worked together to secure financing for your mortgage. You are getting a great rate, favourable terms that meet your mortgage goals, the lender is satisfied with all the supporting documents, we are broker complete, and the only thing left to do is wait for the day the lawyers advance the funds for the mortgage.

Here is a list of things you should NEVER do in the time between your financing complete date (when everything is setup and looks good) and your closing date (the day the lender actually advances funds).

NEVER MAKE CHANGES TO YOUR FINANCIAL SITUATION WITHOUT FIRST CONSULTING ME.CHANGES TO YOUR FINANCIAL SITUATION BEFORE YOUR MORTGAGE CLOSES COULD

ACTUALLY CAUSE YOUR MORTGAGE TO BE DECLINED.So without delay, here are the 10 Don’ts of Mortgage Closing… inspired by real life situations.

1. Don’t quit your job.

2. Don’t do anything that would reduce your income.

3. Don’t apply for new credit.

4. Don’t get rid of existing credit.

5. Don’t co-sign for a loan or mortgage for someone else.

6. Don’t stop paying your bills.

7. Don’t spend your closing costs.

8. Don’t change your real estate purchase contract.

9. Don’t list your property for sale.

10.Don’tacceptunsolicitedmortgageadvice fromunlicensedorunqualified individuals.
