What does it mean?

• How the technology has developed and become a large part of our lives, even being connected to be apart of our phones with a simple application as a simple means of advertising or even distributing.

• How the technology has evolved in the making of films by bringing us 3D movies and enhancing the level of perfection with better HD cameras, special effects, sound equipment and playback devices e.g. Blu-ray

HD What is it?

• High-definition refers to any video system of higher resolution than standard-definition (SD) video, and most commonly involves display resolutions of 720p or 1080p.

• The quality of HD video is very high compared to SD video, and offers improved signal/noise ratios against comparable sensitivity film, film remains able to resolve more image detail than current HD video formats.

SFX What is it• The illusions used in the film, television, theatre, or

entertainment industries to simulate the imagined events in a story are traditionally called special effects often abbreviated as SFX

• There is increasing use of computer-generated or computer-altered imagery in movies, and that editing picture sequences is often done digitally, some directors have shot their movies using the HD format via high-end digital video cameras.

• Some of the big names of special effects are Evil Eye productions, Lola visual effects, Image engine and Double Negative producing films such as Star Trek, District 9 and the Dark Knight.

With the technology of western civilization doubling every 18 months, it’s no surprise that the internet has evolved to bring HD movies and TV shows streamed right to your home computer with Megavideo.com and Watch-movies.net. These are the top of the range paid and legal versions with minimum complications in streaming and quality however, there are many sites that are Illegal which are open to the public which have higher hits than the legal sites.

With the development of new technology, it is now possible to stream 3D movies straight to your home computer with the quality ranging from 720p – 1080p.
