Note from the Principal

Another newsletter has come around in the blink of an eye! We, as always have had an incredibly busy term in school from January to April. The term started with the plans for the technology for Teresian’s Fundraiser Dinner in full swing. Many thanks to the parents involved in organising such a successful event.

We also enjoyed Grandparent’s Day towards then end of January, with a lovely turn out of Grandparents from near and far.

The school then hosted the first AIJS Volleyball tournament, we welcomed Alexandra College and Willow Park. Although the visitors participated very well, the home team was victorious on the day.

Preparations for the sacraments has been steadily moving along this term. The Class 6 girls participated in a beautiful Service of Light ceremony, while the Class 2 girls received their First Penance.

We again enjoyed a wonderful World Book Day celebration with every literary character under the sun represented in the school. We also raised over €1800 for new books from the proceeds of the Book Fair. The whole school came together again for a Céile before we enjoyed a long weekend for St. Patrick’s Day.

The term finished up with Class 5 & 6’s unforgettable trip to the Gaeltacht. The girls threw themselves into life in Dún na nGall and enjoyed living with a Bean an Tí for three days.

Please enjoy the photos of these events and much more in your Easter 2019 Newsletter, courtesy of Gill Doherty.

Happy Easter! Lynda McHale

Student Council

“The Student Council is a group of students who put together ideas to continually make the school better. We discuss any problems or

issues that arise and try to solve them. We suggested a school canteen at the beginning of the year and we love our new school canteen.”
