Definition: According to law No. 25 !""2 A cooperati#e is a $usiness entit% consisting o& person or legal entities with the

$ases cooperati#e acti#ities $ased on the principle o&

cooperation as well as people's economic mo#ement $ased

on the principle o& &amil%.

In the organization as a whole, there are levels of

Type of Cooperative

Business cooperatives, are &ormed $% $usinesses to purchase supplies or

o$tain ser#ices at a lower cost.

Retail cooperative, whose mem$ers are more o&ten than not the #er%

patrons o& their esta$lishment $u%ing a share in the co+op as a prere,uisite

to shopping.

Credit unions, whose mem$ers similarl% in#est in a share in the

organi-ation as a prere,uisite o& participation and generall% elect a $oardo& directors.

Service Provider Cooperatives, whose mem$ers generall% share in the

costs o& renting or purchasing the space andor materials necessar% &or

their work as a cooperati#e

Housing cooperatives, o&ten spring up in areas where residential costs are

high and o&&er a method &or increasing li#ing standars one's sense o&

communit% and sa&et%.

Student cooperatives, are set up and run $% students to meet speci&ic

needs.

Set up cooperati#es so eas% straight&orward. To esta$lish

cooperati#e enough there at least 2/ mem$ers held a meeting and

agreed to esta$lish a cooperati#e. Then set the $oard long tenure

t%pe o& $usiness large deposits and others.

The results o& this meeting were taken to the o&&ices o&cooperati#es in the 0istrict or unicipalit%. The o&&ice will $e

gi#en a #er% complete in&ormation that makes it eas% and seamless

organi-ation.

A pu$lic corporation is managed $% a $oard o& directors.

The mem$ers o& the $oard are &rom all walks o& industr%and commerce.

The entire capital is &inanced $% the go#ernment.

A pu$lic corporation is primaril% meant to render ser#ice

and making pro&it is its secondar% consideration.
