Parents’ writing about the school6A Parents of Ruby Yeung Six years ago, we made the rightdecision – sending our daughter,YeungNga Ching, Ruby, to Kowloon TongSchool(PrimarySection).Rubyusedtobe shy and introverted at kindergarten.She didn’t like to join class activitiesandplaywithotherstudents.Wewereveryconcernedaboutherpersonal growth and development. Like many other parents inHongKong,we triedhard tofindaprimaryschoolwhichcouldoffer a balanced and diversified high-quality education for ourdaughter.Inviewofourdaughter’schangesoverthepastsixyears,ourdecisionprovedtobefruitful. Rubyisstudyingin6Anow.Shelikestohelpwiththehouseworkathome.Sheenjoysher studies andextra-curricular activities atKTS.Sheiswillingtoparticipateindifferentschoolactivities.Shetries to improveher abilities in learningand sportsbyusingherown initiative. We appreciate yourefforts somuch.During thesepast sixyears,we have learned a lot and triedhard to meet your school’s educational policy to balance allaspectsofchilddevelopment. We were so happy to hear the good news that Venus hadbecome a student of Kowloon Tong School six years ago. Itseemed that we had won first prize! Kowloon Tong School isavery renowned,elite school in thisarea.Andalso theuniquecampusstyle,spaciousclassrooms,sportsplaygroundandgreencampuswhichisreallyourdreamschool.WefeltveryhappythatourdaughtercouldbeastudentatKTS. Venushadahardtimekeepinguptheschoolprogrammeinthefirstfewyears.BothofusweretoobusywithourownbusinessinChina.Althoughwehiredprivatetutors tohelpher, itdidn’twork.We were invited to discuss her situation with the classteacherseveraltimes.Weweregivenalotofeffectivemethodsto encourage and help her. Now, she has improved and she ismuchbetterthanbefore.Duetothis,wereallyappreciateallyourcareandteaching.Wehavebeenprovencorrectinchoosingyourschoolfromthebeginningandweareproudofyourschoolandallthatitstandsfor.

6A Ruby Yeung My name is Yeung Nga Ching, Ruby. I amstudying in6A. Ihavestudied inKTSfornearlysix years. I like studying in KTS because it’s aplacewhere Ihavemanyhappymemories. I liketheheadmistressandmyteachersbecausetheyarekindandnicetome.Theyarecaringandresponsibletoo.Theydonotonlyteachandallowmetogaingreaterknowledge,butalsoguidemetobeawell-behavedstudent.Ialsogetalongwellwithmyclassmates.Wealwayshelpeachotherwithourstudies.Someofthemhavebecomemygoodfriends! IfeelhonouredtostudyinKTS.Itisasingle-storeybuildinganditisspacious.ItprovidesallKTSstudentswithapleasantlearningenvironment. Besides this,KTS offers usmany opportunities totakepartindifferentextra-curricularactivities.Ourteachersalwaysencourageandsupportustodoourbest. Ihadanunforgettableexperience.Lastyear,Itookpartinaninter-school table tennis tournament. I was defeated at the lastminute.Ifeltverydisappointedandalmostcried,butmyteachersaidthatIhaddonemybestandpraisedmeformyeffort.Iwastouchedbyhissupport! I havebeenstudyinginthisschoolforalmostsixyears.KowloonTongSchoolhasgivenmealotoffun.There are a variety of subjects and activitiesprovided,suchasChinese,English,Mathematics,differentsportsteamsanddramaclasses. The subject that Imost like at this school isMusic.Musicteachershavetaughtmehowtosingandplaymusicalinstruments.WhenIhavesomedifficulties,Iwillaskthemusicteacher.Sheisverykindandpatienttowardsme. IhavebeenamemberoftheSchoolOrchestrafortwoyears.Iplaytheviolin.Iamproudofbeingamemberoftheorchestra.Ihaveenteredacompetitionwiththeorchestra,andwewonthesecondrunner-upprize. ThethingIloveaboutthisschoolistheschoolenvironment.Itprovidesuswithfreshairbecausetherearealotoftreesandbeautifulflowers.Alotoffacilitiescanbefoundinourschool,suchasKTSTVstation,computerroom,library,musicroom,etc. I feel very happy that I can be a student atKowloonTongSchool.Teachersandschoolmatesareverykindandfriendly.
