This year has flown by. I have heard it said about time passing, that, “the days go slow but the years go fast. ”That
seems to be more and more true all the time. First, I’d like to welcome back our seasonal residents and thank them for choosing Casa Grande as their winter homes. Casa Grande and the Chamber are bustling with activity in the winter season especially, with the holiday celebrations. To see what’s coming up, check the Community Calendar on the Chamber website www.casagrandechamber.org. Kicking off 2017, the Chamber’s Annual Dinner and 2016 Awards Presentation, will be held Friday, January 6 at The Property Con-ference Center. The Awards Review Commit-tee (consisting of past award winners) met and selected the five honorees for 2016. This year’s Community Service Award recipient is Donna Stadum, AZ New Horizon
Realty. The Chamber’s new Business Excel-lence Award will be presented to BlackBox Foundation in the 1 – 20 employee category, and the award for 21+ employee category will be presented to two companies this year, Culver’s of Casa Grande and Henry Brown Automotive Group. Dr. Frank Davidson, su-perintendent of the Casa Grande Elementary School District will be inducted into the Chamber Hall of Fame. We would like to thank all who submitted the many excellent nominations for the awards this year. Details about the Annual Dinner reservations and sponsorships will appear in the December E-Newsletter. The Chamber’s 2017 Home, Health & Garden Show and Car & Truck Show will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Arizona Home Furnish-ing Outlets at CityGate, 2300 E. Tanger Dr. in Casa Grande. Be sure to secure your exhibit space by clicking this link for the 2017 Home Show soon, as the show sells out quickly.
