Why fill out your census? $16 billion in federal funding to Massachusetts for programs like Medicaid, Section 8
housing, childcare subsidies, and Title I school funding. $2,372 per person in federal funding per year in Massachusetts. Critical decision around voting districts, civil rights laws, and investment in infrastructure. Please let us know if you need help filling out your census.

We finance the cost for educational and entertainment activities, such as lectures and entertainment and enrichment classes, without having to ask attendees to open their wallets for every event they attend. We also support the Western Mass Food

We are funded exclusively by individual donations as well as purchases at the Gift Shoppe. We appreciate all donations and offer our heartfelt “Thank You!” for your

Veterans’ News
It is with mixed emotion that I need to tell you that I will be moving to South Carolina. My son and grandchildren are there and a better place for us to enjoy more family time as well as easier living as we fight off old age with a new adventure. I need to express my gratitude to all who have made this pantry so successful. Liz Irving and Elaine Weiner have canvassed, collected and stocked shelves; Stephanie and Eugene Simmons have faithfully met the Lovin’ Spoonfuls truck and sorted the meat and produce; and Judy Baskin, Marta Leander, and Camryn Boutin are the dependable weekly distributors while Cory Odentz, Lucy Mooney and Joan McPartland are reliable substitutes when needed all under the watchful eye of our esteemed co-ordinator, Erin Koebler. I especially want to thank not only FOLOCA but our many schools, churches and businesses as well as the many Seniors that generously fill our donation box with much needed supplies. I’m sure that with your help the team will continue to prosper and be able to serve our community. Thank you and best wishes for a smooth transition to the new center. I will miss you all.

Wellness Services
The same precautions to help prevent colds and the flu can help protect against other respiratory viruses: -Wash your hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. -Cover your coughs and sneezes. -Stay home if you are sick. We often send automated calls out to our seniors who are registered for our programs as a way of sharing information quickly. This is why it is important to register for programs. Please be aware that the calls often say “Cambridge” or “Spam” on Caller ID. Feel free to let the call go to Voicemail and it will leave you a message. Often, the messages get cut-off. While we are working on improving this, you can always call us in the office for clarification. Schedule changes will also be listed on the top of our Adult Center website and on our Facebook page. Feel free to call the office at 413-565-4150.
