Training Videos for FREE!
A new feature you may have noticed on
our web site is a link to the site called
Lynda.com. Lynda is a site of training videos
for a variety of topics. You can learn more
about software you may use at home, for work
or how to take better pictures. All the videos are
free to access if you have a North Baltimore
Library Card! You simply click the link, enter
your library card number, and pin. Once logged
on you can browse through all the videos until
you find one that peaks your interest.
These videos are a great way to improve
a skill you already have, or learn something new.
The videos not only have a range of topics but
also are geared to different skill levels. If you
have any questions feel free to ask us.
Farewell to 2018
We’ve had a wonderful year at the NB
Library! It’s been a good year of welcoming
new staff members – Heather and Tammy
in the Children’s Area and our new high
school pages, Abbi and Kennedy. And
saying hello to new babies in the family –
Holly’s Lakelyn in March and Courtney’s
Sophia in July! Between all the coming and
goings through the year, we have managed
to build a great team! Our Summer and
Fall offerings were quite diverse and strong!
Our Library does Rock! We look forward to
continuing this trend into 2019! On March
10th we will celebrate the 100th Anniversary
of the North Baltimore Public Library! We
are planning quite a few special events to
coincide with this special date! Look for all
of the “hoopla” to be rolled out in the New
Year! In the meantime, a few things to
start the celebration –
We have a new copier/printer! This one will
print in full color! Please ask for assistance!
A color page is 25 cents, black & white is
still 15 cents.
On December 1st, we are raising our DVD
check outs to a maximum of 15 per day.
In January, the number of digital
magazines on Flipster will increase to over
100 offerings! Haven’t tried it yet? You’ll
want to soon! Find it on our website!
