Michael Warr, SIMCExecutive Director Resident Manager Financial Advisor

Michael Warr serves as a Financial Advisor as well as Resident Manager of the Tuscaloosa Branch of Morgan Stanley. As a founding member of the team, Michael is responsible for leading the team in strategic vision. The result is a cohesive, comprehensive approach to the complex and sophisticated needs of the team’s clientele. Michael has built an approach to the preservation and transfer of wealth, including multigenerational planning, complex trust and estate situations, estate-tax minimization and philanthropic planning.

Michael is a leader within our industry. Appointed to Morgan Stanley Wealth Management’s Financial Advisor Council, Michael represented the interests of financial advisors and clients in this national forum. He also served on the regional and local Financial Advisor Council for Morgan Stanley’s Southeast Region. His focus on serving clients garnered him a nomination to Barron’s Top 1,200 Financial Advisors and its Top Advisor Ranking for Alabama for 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Michael holds a degree in finance from the University of Alabama, and sits on the University’s International Finance Board, as well as its President’s Cabinet. He and his wife, Kara, are both very active in

their community, where Michael serves on the board of directors for the United Way of West Alabama. He is deeply committed to his four children, Macon, Hill, Michael and Jude.

As a Principal Partner of The WHMZ Group, Alistair Harding-Smith is responsible for the Group’s investment strategies. His goal is to deliver the best and most consistent returns possible while minimizing risk. To protect our clients’ portfolios, Alistair incorporates institutional-quality enhanced diversification and risk management techniques. Alistair values and excels in clearly communicating and “translating” financial complexities and concepts to clients, as well as keeping clients informed of current events and their economic and financial implications.

came at Barclays Global Investors in London and San Francisco, where Alistair was an investment strategist and principal portfolio manager, overseeing institutional assets in excess of $5 billion. It is there that Alistair worked on the team responsible for developing the first iShares Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) and also served on a steering committee for the prestigious FTSE index. Today, his extensive experience includes managing assets for endowments, corporate pension funds, government entities and sophisticated investors.

Born in Windsor, England, Alistair attended St. Paul’s School in London and graduated from Bristol University in England, receiving a B.Sc. in mathematics and economics. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, is a member of the CFA® Institute and the CFA® Society of Alabama, and has earned the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM designation. Classically trained in the oboe and piano, Alistair served as past president and treasurer of the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra, and is currently a board member of the TSO and its Endowment Fund. Alistair and his wife, Daphne, live in Hoover, Alabama, and spend their time actively involved with their three children, Lauren, William and Caedmon.

Scott McClanahan, CRD, CRPS®, SIMCSenior Vice PresidentFinancial Advisor

Scott McClanahan is a Principal Partner of The WHMZ Group and serves as a Relationship Manager for corporate, nonprofit and foundation clients, as well as many medical and dental professionals. He has experience developing succession plans for closely held business owners and affluent families.

Additionally, as Corporate Retirement Director, Scott is the lead member in the Group for all forms of qualified and nonqualified workplace retirement plans. He is among less than two percent of the firm’s financial advisors which have attained this prestigious designation. His goal is to ensure our clients maximize tax-efficient savings. As an advocate to both small businesses and their employees, Scott strives to clearly communicate with employees and educate them on the key benefits of their retirement plans, and works closely with them to help them achieve retirement security.

Scott is devoted to the Tuscaloosa community. Outside of the office, Scott has been recognized for his tireless efforts raising funds for nonprofit groups including the ARC of Tuscaloosa, as well as the Druid City Hospital (DCH) Foundation. Scott actively serves on the board of directors for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of West Alabama, and is President and member of the board

of directors for the Tuscaloosa YMCA, heading up its capital campaign as chairman. Scott is a former academic All-American baseball player for the University of Alabama, and drafted by the New York Yankees. Scott has lived in Decatur, Hartselle, Germany, Spain and Michigan. In his spare time he enjoys racquet sports. He currently resides in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, with his wife, Gina, and their four children, Marcus, Larisey, Hazel and Eve.

Greg WerchanowskyjFinancial Advisor

Greg Werchanowskyj serves as a Financial Advisor and is the primary insurance liaison for The WHMZ Group. Greg works with clients to assess their needs, and develops an insurance strategy that supports their long-term goals. Prior to joining The WHMZ Group, Greg worked in the insurance industry, founding and managing his own business. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business with a major in marketing from the University of Mississippi.

Greg serves as a Junior Board Member with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society for Alabama and Mississippi, and also volunteers with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. In his free time, Greg enjoys coaching youth sports, playing tennis, hunting and motor sports. Originally from Marietta, Georgia, Greg currently resides in Birmingham, Alabama, with his wife, Ashley, and their two children, Lily Kate and Will.

Jennifer Hart, CFA®, CFP®Wealth Advisory Associate

Jennifer Hart works to provide in-depth portfolio analytics, trade executions, performance analyses, investment research and reporting. She assists with monitoring more than 250 client portfolios, overseeing daily tracking of client portfolio positions, and conducting financial reviews for clients.

Jennifer is the dedicated Financial Analyst for The WHMZ Group at Morgan Stanley. She holds the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst® and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designations, and has been an integral member of the investment team for more than 10 years.

Jennifer attends Holy Spirit Catholic Church, where she serves on the Meals on Wheels Committee, and is a former member of the Capstone Chapter of Business Networking International (BNI) where she served on the leadership team. She also volunteers with Junior Achievement and is a member of the 2013 class of Leadership Tuscaloosa. Jennifer is originally from Mandeville, Louisiana, and now resides in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, with her husband, Robby, and their two dogs.

Rex ZeanahWealth Management Associate

Rex Zeanah serves as an advisor and Relationship Manager for the Group. He is known for taking on the role of advocate for his clients. Instead of just taking the company line, he puts himself on the clients’ side of the table, helping them get the best value from the group and the firm.

A decorated veteran, Rex served in combat in the United States Army in the Vietnam War. After returning from war, Rex entered the business world as a college bookstore owner in Commerce, Texas. In 1987 he returned to his hometown of Tuscaloosa and launched his career in the financial services industry.

Rex has 29 years of experience in the financial services industry. He began his venerable career with J.C. Bradford as an investment limited partner, and established the Tuscaloosa branch of Morgan Keegan in 2000, where he served as Managing Director. Rex joined The WHMZ Group at Morgan Stanley in 2008 to bring the resources of the Group to his clients.

Rex is engaged in his community, meeting regularly with business executives through the Tuscaloosa Business Exchange, supporting the Tuscaloosa YMCA, and serving as an officer and active member of the Dollarhide Conservation Club. He is also on the Marion Military Institute Presidential Board. Rex and his wife, Martha, live in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where he enjoys playing golf and spending time with family and friends.

Robbie New specializes in listening to and understanding the needs of his clients and coordinating their financial plans with each client’s other trusted advisors.

Robbie is a Financial Advisor working with The WHMZ Group at Morgan Stanley in Atlanta. Robbie focuses on each client’s unique needs and brings them the resources and strategies of The WHMZ Group. He holds the prestigious CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. Robbie earned a bachelor’s degree in financial management from the University of Alabama.

In the community, Robbie volunteers with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and is a member of Trout Unlimited. He enjoys golf, tennis, squash and fishing, and is a member of Mount Bethel United Methodist Church. Originally from Eufaula, Alabama, Robbie currently resides in Marietta, Georgia, with his wife, Anna, and daughters Annabelle, Elizabeth and Lacy.

Bill Horne has a passion for delivering the knowledge and resources of The WHMZ Group at Morgan Stanley to his clients.

Bill is a Financial Advisor working with The WHMZ Group in Birmingham, Alabama. Bill has over 32 years of experience in the financial industry and was an independent advisor at Morgan Stanley. He has held both Branch and Assistant Branch Manager positions in the Huntsville and Birmingham Morgan Stanley offices. Bill has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in education from the University of Montevallo.

Bill and his wife, Sheila, have been married for over 30 years and reside in Bluff Park, Alabama, where they are members of St. Mark United Methodist Church. They have two children, Austin and Erin, and a grandson, Bennett. Bill enjoys music, canoeing, hiking, reading and jogging.

Dickie BlondheimFirst Vice PresidentFinancial Advisor

Dickie Blondheim is a Financial Advisor working with The WHMZ Group at Morgan Stanley in Montgomery, Alabama. Dickie works closely with high net-worth individuals to help preserve and grow wealth using the team’s full spectrum of investment strategies.

He has a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Georgia and degree from Mercer University Pharmacy School. Prior to entering the financial industry with A.G. Edwards 25 years ago, Dickie was a pharmacist and successful business owner.

Dickie and his wife, Joy, reside in Montgomery and have been married for over 50 years. They have two sons, Brad and Hilly, and three grandchildren, Max, Zac, and Alex. Dickie and Joy are very involved in the Joy To Life Foundation, which they co-founded in 2001. In his free time, Dickie enjoys fishing with his grandchildren.

Olly Orton focuses on Goals Based Wealth Management, working to deeply engage his clients and understand their values, goals and the risks inherent in their lives.

Olly is a Financial Advisor for The WHMZ Group at Morgan Stanley, and serves as Branch Manager in Montgomery, Alabama. Olly’s experience in managing and training Financial Advisors gives him an additional perspective when serving clients. With the breadth of capability available within The WHMZ Group, Olly can deliver tailored wealth management as sophisticated as needed for any client. Olly attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville and worked in media prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2006.

Olly Orton was born in London, England, and lived in Long Island, New York, before settling in Alabama as a child. He is active in both the Huntsville and Montgomery communities, currently serving on the board of the Montgomery Area Mental Health Association. Olly is a past president of United Cerebral Palsy Huntsville, Downtown Forty-Seven, North Alabama Coalition for the Homeless and the Huntsville Child Care Center. Olly is a graduate of Leadership Huntsville and Leadership Montgomery. Olly, his wife, Katherine, and their two children, Lillian and Harold, currently reside in Montgomery, Alabama.

Katie HancockFinancial Advisor

Katie Hancock works in retirement plan administration, including 401(k) plans, SIMPLE and SEP-IRAs, as well as nonqualified plans.

Katie is a Financial Advisor and her primary role is to develop, assess and monitor the retirement and wealth plans for the team’s clients. She delivers a comprehensive employee education program to the team’s corporate retirement plan clients.

Katie received her master’s in marketing from the University of Alabama in 2011. Katie played on the women’s basketball team, earning Academic All-American honors for all four years that she lettered. After graduating from the Capstone, Katie spent a year doing mission work in Puebla, Mexico. Katie is a member of the Rotary Club of Tuscaloosa, a graduate of the 2015 class of Leadership Tuscaloosa, serves on the Alabama A-Club Executive Committee and volunteers with Junior Achievement of Tuscaloosa County teaching personal finance in high schools. In Katie’s spare time she enjoys traveling, golf, coaching youth basketball and playing guitar.

John Parker Wilson focuses on working with clients to create long-term, personalized financial plans.

John Parker serves as a Financial Advisor for The WHMZ Group at Morgan Stanley. Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, he graduated from the University of Alabama. While lettering four years with the football team, John Parker received a B.S. in marketing from the Manderson School of Business. Following college, John Parker joined the Atlanta Falcons in the National Football League where he also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, he worked for Sterne Agee and Stifel Nicolaus where he gained valuable industry experience.

John Parker is an active member in the Monday Morning Quarterback Club which serves the Crippled Children’s Foundation, the Alabama chapter of Make-A-Wish Foundation, and The Alabama A-Club Educational and Charitable Foundation. He and his wife, Tyler, live in Birmingham and attend Church of the Highlands and in his spare time, John Parker enjoys spending time outdoors and playing golf.

LifeView Connect provides a combination of three services comprised of (i) preparing and periodically updating a financial plan (the “Financial Plan”), (ii) a financial planning monitoring service (“Monitoring Service”) with respect to the Financial Plan, using Morgan Stanley-approved monitoring tools, and (iii) account aggregation service (“Account Aggregation Service”) using Morgan Stanley-approved tools.

Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC (“MSSB”) acts as your investment adviser in providing the Financial Plan to you and reviewing it with you. This investment advisory relationship is created upon delivery of the Financial Plan to you and ends thirty days later, during which time your Financial Advisor is available to review the Financial Plan with you. A new investment advisory relationship will be created again each time an updated Financial Plan is delivered to you, and it will end thirty days later, during which time the Financial Advisor will again be available to review the Financial Plan with you.

MSSB is not acting as your investment adviser in providing the Monitoring Service or the Account Aggregation Service to you.
