Wolfville is a small town in the Province of Nova Scotia, Canada, with a

population of about 4,000.

Wolfville is considered to be a vibrant cultural centre in Nova Scotia. [ ?!?! ]

Clearly, Wolfville is NOT home to the biggest BRAIN TRUST in the region,

especially with its Government Officials as leaders in POINTLESS AND

MEANINGLESS BY–LAW S, PROHIBITIONS, AND MOTIONS THAT HAVE DIS-

MALLY FAILED TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH OF ITS COMMUNITY.

In 1985, Wolfville declared itself a NUCLEAR–FREE ZONE BY PROHIBITING

THE STORAGE OR DEPLOYMENT OF NUCLEAR W EAPONS. [ B ig deal ! ]

On April 17th, 2007, Wolfville declared itself Canada’s first FAIR TRADE

TOW N, PROHIBITING THE PURCHASE FROM PRODUCERS W ITH ARBI-

TRARILY LOW ER SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL STANDARDS. [ B ig dea l ! ]

In 2008, Wolfville enacted a by–law that PROHIBITS SMOKING INSIDE A

VEHICLE under certain conditions. [ ?!?! ]


Wolfville is CLEARLY UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF NON–EXPERT, SUBVER-

SIVE AND RADICAL ENVIRONMENTAL–LUNATICS.

In September 2008, Wolfville was awarded the highest award given by the

Canadian Cancer Society, the award for Courage in Public Policy, in recogni-

tion of its LUNATIC–PROHIBITION as the first municipal government in Can-

ada to ban smoking in cars when children are present. [ Big dea l ! ]

It is evident that Wolfville Government Officials are INEXORABLY L INKED TO

On June 8th, 2009, Wolfville OFFICIALLY SUPPORTED LUNATIC–TERROR–IST–PROHIBITION OF PEST CONTROL PRODUCTS FOR THE PROVINCE OF

NOVA SCOTIA.

NON–EXPERT Sierra Club of Canada organized Wolfville’s PESTICIDE BY–

LAW COMMITTEE.

Wolfville also endorsed so–called NON–EXPERT BRAIN TRUSTS like Pesti-

cide Free Nova Scotia, operated by Enviro–Lunatic Chris Benjamin.


Canadian–Cancer–Society, Pesticide Free Nova Scotia, and Sierra Club of

Canada are all NON–EXPERT TAX–EXEMPT PROHIBITION–TERRORIST–OR-

Wolfville Government Officials have CONSPIRED TO ABATE pest control

products that are, otherwise, HEALTH–CANADA–APPROVED, FEDERALLY–

sought to educate citizens

natives that could effectively

There are many lawn issue which resemble Chinch Bug damage.

There is an easy way to identify Chinch Bugs.

Simply remove both ends of a tin can the insert one end into

your lawn and fill the can with water.

If you have Chinch Bug, you will see them floating in the water.

Simply get your Shop–Vac and vacuum your lawn to remove the

bugs. [ RIDICULOUS, STUPID, and INEFFECTIVE ! ]

It’s what the Wolfville Nova Scotia Parks Department does and

it works ! [ Th is is an UNVERIFIABLE CONCOCTED story. ]

Removing thatch and adding clover to your lawn will also help

deter Chinch Bugs. [ W rong ! ]

Chinch Bugs ... vacuum them, swamp them, feed them to the

birds. [ Again , RIDICULOUS, STUPID, and INEFFECTIVE ! ]


Want to get rid of Chinch Bugs in your lawn without using pes-

ticides ?

Here are some simple and innovative suggestions.

Use a strong vacuum cleaner like a Shop–Vac. [ RIDICULOUS, STUPID, and INEFFECTIVE ! ]

Vacuum the target area including a 2–foot buffer in all direc-

tions.

Vacuuming gets rid of the adults, nymphs and eggs. [ W rong ! ]

Sound too easy to be true ? [ A DECEPTIVE and MALICIOUS L IE. ]

The head of Wolfville’s Park’s Department, [ Non–Expert Enviro–Lunatic ] David Slabotsky, reports they have found this method

to be « 100% effective with no further follow up of any kind » . [ This is an UNVERIFIABLE CONCOCTED story . ]

[ Non–Expert Enviro–Lunatic ] Glenn, who works in Halifax Re-gional Municipality’s greenhouses, suggests, « Put down bird-seed on any lawn areas with Chinch Bug. It attracts starlings

and other birds. They’ll eat up all the Chinch Bugs along with

the bird–seed and your problem flies away » . [ RIDICULOUS, STUPID, and INEFFECTIVE ! ]


[ Non–Expert Enviro–Lunat ic ] Helen Jones of Real Alternatives to Toxins in the Environment ( RATE ) [ an Environmenta l–Terror is t–Organ izat ion ] suggests the low–cost soap solution approach : [ She L IES and L IES and L IES and L IES ! ]

Wet the problem areas with soapy water, especially the edges

where healthy and dead grass meet.

Lay a flannel sheet on top of the grass after you’ve wet the

problem areas, wait about 10–15 minutes, then peel back the

sheet and removing the bugs clinging to it and drop them in a

bucket of soapy water.

Repeat a week or so later, as needed. [ RIDICULOUS, STUPID, and INEFFECTIVE ! ]

Helen also suggests, « If you over–seed with Dutch white clover seed so it becomes evenly dispersed in the lawn, or replaces

turf as the main ground–cover, you can eliminate Chinch Bugs. [ W rong ! ]

Chinch Bugs do not feed on clover. [ RIDICULOUS, STUPID, and INEFFECTIVE pract ice that DOES NOT WORK ! ]

As a bonus, clover adds free nitrogen and brings up nutrients to

the surface from deep in the soil ( where turf can access it ). » [ W rong ! ]


[ Non–Expert Enviro–Lunatic ] Sandy Mitchell of Natural Insect Control [ another Environmenta l–Terror ist–Organ izat ion ] points out « the simplest, and most effective way to deal with Chinch

Bugs is simply to water, water, water, and in most cases

they’ll just walk away » . [ W rong ! W rong ! W rong ! ]

If either frequent watering or soap mixtures don’t solve the

problem, Mitchell suggests beneficial nematodes, ( brand

name, Lawn Guardian, a mixture of two beneficial nematodes )

can be used to control Chinch Bugs. Nematodes are a natural

microscopic parasite ( worm–like ) that infest soil dwelling in-

sect larvae. [ Nematodes are BOGUS and INEFFECTIVE. ]

Nematodes need to be applied in a different way when dealing

with Chinch Bugs, which dwell on the surface of lawns, than

when used to control soil pests l ike grubs which live deeper

down. [ W rong ! ]

All the [ Env i ro–Lunat ic ] experts agree that improving soil qual-

ity is the long term key to eliminating insect problems in

lawns. [ W rong ! ]

Chinch Bugs are much more likely to be a problem in chemically

treated lawns, or lawns making a transition from chemicals to

natural, than in naturally–treated lawns. [ She L IES and L IES and L IES and L IES ! ]

VACUUMING : IT WORKS ! [ W rong ! ]

[ Non–Expert Enviro–Lunat ic ] David Slabotsky, the Parks foreman for the Wolfville Parks Depart-

ment, uses shop vacuums to remove chinch from chinch hot

spots. [ ?!?! ]

Monitoring is critical.

From the end of June onward, David keeps a sharp eye out for

early signs of damage ( localized yellowing or browning of

grass ), especially in areas prone to drying out.

David checks suspicious spots for chinch.

He had to use a magnifying glass initially, but after a while he

says you get to recognize them pretty quickly without one.


He does a vigorous hand raking to within two feet ( 61 cm ) of

the damaged grass, and then vacuums the whole area.

He tries to water the area subsequently.

David says this technique is 100% effective when the infesta-

tions are caught at an early stage. [ He L IES and L IES and L IES and L IES ! ]

It would be too time consuming to apply once an infestation

has got out of control. [ RIDICULOUS, STUPID, and INEFFEC-TIVE ! ]

However, he suggests that industrial turf vacuums ( such as are

used on football fields ) could probably handle larger areas. [ W rong ! ]
