LCMR Art Students Make Waves for Local Food BankTuesday, January 13 from 6-8 PM
Where: Big Wave Burrito 1400 Texas Avenue, Cape May
CMR Art Students Make Waves for Local Food Bank Art III and Art IV students at Lower Cape May Regional High School have been painting, drawing, and making collages of beautiful, realistic and abstract waves. Each student added their own style and used their favorite medium to work in, making each wave unique and different. These waves will be shown at Big Wave Burritos in Cape May and they will be auctioned off to raise money for a local food bank.

The Wildwoods Host the Return of the Boardwalk Kennel Club
All Breed Dog Show
Attention all dog lov-ers! Four-legged friends of all shapes and sizes will return to the Wildwoods Convention Center for the annual All Breed Dog Show. The Atlantic Ocean Classic Dog Show Cluster, hosted by the Boardwalk Kennel Club, will feature five days of competitions starting Wednesday, January 28 through Sunday, February 1.
Multiple judges will de-termine the winner of each category and various prizes will be awarded. This is the first show of the sea-son and winners will then move on to the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City. So come out and see the best of the best of all dog breeds!
Returning to the Dog Show this year will be the “It’s a ‘Shore’ Thing” Crate
Decorating Contest taking place throughout the event starting Wednesday, Janu-ary 28. Handlers are en-couraged to decorate their
crates in a beach theme, and spectators will vote for their favorite crates. The award will be announced

Sunday, February 1The Boardwalk Kennel
Club of Cape May County will again host their All Breed Dog Show; Best Bred by Exhibitor in Show Com-petition; Sanctioned 4-6 Month Puppy Competition; and Obedience and Rally Dog Show Finals.
Additionally, vendors will offer unique merchan-dise for those looking for something special to pam-per their pooch – from col-lars and leashes to books and training tools, along with everything in be-tween. Guided tours and new exhibitor briefings will be available throughout the five-day event to edu-cate the public about all aspects of the sport of dog showing.
Competitions begin at 8 a.m. daily. Ticket prices are $8 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and $2 for children 12 and under. Tickets will be available at the door the day of the event.

1 oz. of white cranberry cocktail juice1 oz. of white crème de cacao½ oz. of white chocolate liqueurCranberriesShaved chocolate
Preparation:Put ice in a cocktail mixer and combine cran-
berry cocktail juice, white crème de cacao and white chocolate liqueur
Shake the mixture and strain it into a martini glass
Wet the rim with water and dip in sugar. Pierce cranberries on a cocktail toothpick and place in the glass as a garnish
Add sprinkles of shaved white chocolate to the top of the drink.

CAPE MAY– The year 2015 marks the 20th an-niversary of the Center for Community Arts (CCA) and its 16th collaboration with the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC) on annual exhib-its that highlight African-American life and history in Cape May.
This year’s exhibit cel-ebrates these anniversaries with photographs and ob-jects that tell the stories of CCA’s programs and people
— 20 years of exhibits, art and music, the John and Janet Nash African-American History Archive and walking tours, the re-
nity Arts (CCA), in associa-tion with theMid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Hu-manities (MAC).
CCA is a multicultural educational non-profit or-ganization whose arts and humanities programs fos-ter creativity, community building, and appreciation for the rich diversity of our world. The Center’s Com-munity History Program is dedicated to preserving, interpreting and celebrat-ing Cape May’s African American heritage through exhibits, tours, and its John and Janet Nash African American History Archive. The Center is currently re-
habilitating the Franklin Street School, a Cape May African American Historic Si te, to house a commu-
habilitation of the once-segregated Franklin Street School, children’s arts and culture programs through-out the lower Cape, adult arts programs, and a com-munity radio station, WCFA 101.5 FM — all created and developed by CCA’s pio-neer founding mothers and the volunteers who have followed them.
The public is invited to a free exhibit opening for “Center for ommunity Arts Celebrates 20 Years of His-tory” on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 19 at 4 p.m., at the Carroll Gallery inthe Carriage House at the Emlen Physick Estate,

The exhibit is open Satur-days Jan. 17 through Feb. 7 and Feb. 21, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 14, 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; and Saturdays, Feb. 28 through March 21, 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; Sunday, Feb. 15, 11 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.; Mon-day, Feb. 16, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and Saturd-ay, March 21, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The exhibit is open daily from March 27 through April 12 (except April 5. Hours vary).
