CAPE MAY– The year 2015 marks the 20th an-niversary of the Center for Community Arts (CCA) and its 16th collaboration with the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC) on annual exhib-its that highlight African-American life and history in Cape May.

This year’s exhibit cel-ebrates these anniversaries with photographs and ob-jects that tell the stories of CCA’s programs and people

— 20 years of exhibits, art and music, the John and Janet Nash African-American History Archive and walking tours, the re-

nity Arts (CCA), in associa-tion with theMid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Hu-manities (MAC).

CCA is a multicultural educational non-profit or-ganization whose arts and humanities programs fos-ter creativity, community building, and appreciation for the rich diversity of our world. The Center’s Com-munity History Program is dedicated to preserving, interpreting and celebrat-ing Cape May’s African American heritage through exhibits, tours, and its John and Janet Nash African American History Archive. The Center is currently re-

habilitating the Franklin Street School, a Cape May African American Historic Si te, to house a commu-

habilitation of the once-segregated Franklin Street School, children’s arts and culture programs through-out the lower Cape, adult arts programs, and a com-munity radio station, WCFA 101.5 FM — all created and developed by CCA’s pio-neer founding mothers and the volunteers who have followed them.

The public is invited to a free exhibit opening for “Center for ommunity Arts Celebrates 20 Years of His-tory” on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 19 at 4 p.m., at the Carroll Gallery inthe Carriage House at the Emlen Physick Estate,
