Distributed PV Generation to Predominate in Guangdong After 2020
This March at the 4th Guangdong Distributed PV Forum, industry leaders andlocal officials from energy departments showed great confidence in China’sdistributed PV market, believing that in the near future China’s capacity ofdistributed PV generation would probably reach 6000 billion kWh, and after 2020distributed PV generation would predominated China’s eastern provinces,including Guangdong.
Here are some prediction on and introduction of distributed PV market made by authoritative figures.
According to statistics, by the end of 2015,the national installed PV capacity hasexceeded 50 GW. The goal of installedcapacity set by National EnergyAdministration is 110 GW by 2020,however, at the present annual growth rateof 25-30 GW, by 2020 China’s installedPV capacity will possibly reach 200GW.

With abundant sunlight and ever-increasingroof area (over 80 million square meters ofnew roof annually), by the end of 2016Guangdong has installed PV capacity of over900,000 kW, ranked the fourth in China. Andif everything goes as planed, by 2020Guangdong’s installed capacity of distributedPV will exceed 4 million kW.

2016 China Distributed PV Generation Development Forum & China PVApplication Innovative Alliance Launch Ceremony
