The complement to Fuzzy Logic is Mathematical Induction.

The following is a mistaken use of Mathematical Induction by the shifting notionof a key concept, viz., Interesting and its complement (?) Uninteresting.As such it is a very esoteric joke that fuzzies up the thinking, not the logic. It

is an example of Word Play that is a cultural universal according to PeterFarbs definition.

Assertion:

There are no uninteresting Natural Numbers.

Proof:

1. Assume there are uninteresting Natural Numbers: the set U(n)

2. Now every subset of Natural Numbers has a least element, l in {j | j in

U(n) and j < k for all k in U(n), j ~= k }3. Interesting isnt it?

4. Therefore there must not be any Uninteresting NNs.

5. l is interesting by virtue of the fact we are interested enough to provesomething about it. But this is self-reference which gets us into allkinds of logical trouble.

David Hays from SUNY Buffalo gave a talk in 1971 at the Benjamin Franklin

Colloquium on Office Automation. He opined that Office Automation has to

understand what roles an Office plays in providing for Human needs. He posited
