(rose candle)

O God, who see how your people

faithfully await the feast of the Lord’s Nativity,

enable us, we pray,

to attain the joys of so great a salvation

with solemn worship and glad rejoicing.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,

KIOSK MINISTRY

The pink candle on the Advent wreath is lit this week along with the two purple candles from the previous weeks. The first two

purple candles symbolized HOPE then last week LOVE, this week the pink or rose-colored candle symbolizes JOY. All these can-dles symbolize our lord Jesus, and the hope, love and joy He brings to our world, and that light increases as the days of Advent bring us closer to the hope, love, joy and peace of Christmas, the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus. If you don’t have a cd player, now is the time to get one, or put it on your Christmas list. These Christmas cds contain such pow-erful and faith-filled talks that can fill your hearts with the hope, love, joy and peace of Christmas all year long. These are also the best gifts to family members and friends. Fr. Larry Richards talks about THE MYSTERY OF CHRISTMAS (God Becomes Man) and helps us to better appreciate the immensity of God’s love for us as His children. The greatest gift ever given is the gift of Jesus Christ to the whole world, and Fr. Larry expresses this with deep compassion and clarity.

Fr. Shannon Collins talks about GOD MADE MAN and explains about the who, what, why, when and where of Christmas. Fr.

Collins, a preacher of parish missions and retreat master, sheds new light on the biblical narratives of the birth of Jesus Christ, as well as the beautiful Christmas traditions of the Church.

Venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, host of the TV show LIFE IS WORTH LIVING from 1951 to 1957, is also on a cd, THE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS, recorded years ago, but his message resonates even more today. Let your faith grow and come alive this Advent.

The Catholic Faith Network is available on:

Website Sponsorships Available!

In the weeks ahead, our parish representative from Solutio, Inc., will be setting up

the advertising for our website for the year.

Please consider participating in this effort since the revenue from the ads is what makes the

website possible at no cost to the parish.

It’s a great way to get your name in front of the

families in the parish. Advertisements may be purchased for a business, family memorial, or you can sponsor an ad supporting Catholic Charities, Knights of Columbus, Vocations, etc.

Please give these ideas some thought. We need and appreciate your help! If you

are interested or just curious as to prices and want more information, please contact (631) 400-3452 or

[email protected]

The annual Christmas

Pageant will have a differ-

ent “venue” this year be-

cause of the pandemic.

We are putting together a

slide show of the many years of the pageant — now almost TWENTY YEARS of mem-

ories.

Please send us your photos, especially

the first 10 years! We will put together a

video and share it on our

parish website!
